Perfect motor for the HK500CMT . Runs cool even under heavy load doing mild 3D . I had one issue though as i finished setting up my heli i took it out to test hop it to make sure everthing was fine but it was not . I had a crazy vibration in the tail and could not figure out what it was , so i went over the heli again and found that it was the motor . None of the screws on the bottom plate were tight and the set scew on the shaft was loose and stripped . Simple fix i loctited all the screws and replaced the set screw wala vibration gone . Thats the only reason for 4 crowns for quality . all in all great motor but make sure you check every scew and dont forget the loctite !

...I will use it in HK500gt. It is quality manufactured, and I gave 4 stars overall due to a bit heavy feeling. I have not tested it electrically yet but I expect that this lovely motor has already been QC (Quality Checked) by Hobby King.

Terrible quality control on this motor! I had the motor for a few weeks and spent most of that time hunting for vibrations through my HK 500. replacing so many different things when it turned out to just be a bad motor. The motor has serious balance issues. At higher rpm the motor started bouncing off the coils it was so bad 3 of the magnets showed large areas of wear and there were drifts of metal dust in between the magnets. The dust was so bad it had spread over the main gear and motor mount. The vibration got so bad that it ended up cracking top bearing through both the trace and the outer housing. guess I wont be buying crap like this next time.... new align 500mx motor and heli is silky smooth.

A good motor for those running there first 500. Smooth start up, long run time. Getting over 8 minutes of "learning" out of a 5S 3000mah battery. Great power to weight ratio. Things get just warm after flight on a 86 degree day and the cells still have approx. 3.76 volts per cell on average. Thats pretty good.

A pretty good motor for the 500, starting out with. Has a smooth start up, not alot of torque, but thats good for starters. And the flight time was up to 8 minutes on a 5S 3000mah battery! Power to weight ratio versus time is great. Checking the cells, still at 3.76 approx. on average. Thats pretty good.

i used this motor on my ofna lx-1e with a 16t pinion and 5s lipo :D i didn't think it would work, i just bought it because it is cheap, but it worked perfectly :D no heat or cogging whatsoever :D it died after 2 months of hard bashing, and not because it was used in car, it died because of the dirt going in the motor :D

ESC has been programmed fro heli and for this motor. Unfortunately it stopped after 5 minutes of flight. Fortunately I just landed, so the heli has been saved. Will buy another one, maybe was a single-piece problem.

Purchased motor, ran several packs, great motor for 500 beginners. For the price, definitely worth it. Highly recommend.

6 min. of fly time, still had 3.76 plus on all cells of a 6S 20C 3000mah.

Great little motor. It is almost exactly the same size as a standard 540 motor, and it has a 5mm shaft. It is currently in my electric conversion Revo 3.3 with a Tekno 36mm motor mount and Elektri-Clutch geared 16/36 on 6s. It runs strong and never gets too hot. It has enough torque to wheelie, and will pull the truck to 40mph all day. If you can find a 5mm pinion for it, this will be excellent fun in a 1:10 AWD offroader.
