Quite strong and cheap. It's made of foam so strong in all directions. Nice shiny finish, good to hold in my hand. Can cut with a saw if needed.

I recently purchased this model, fast delivery, well packaged, no warped or broken parts, had the first flight yesterday after carrying out some battery location mods as per various internet suggestions, IE cut away some of the cockpit and made a tray forward of the cockpit floor it flew absolutely fine straight from a under arm launch, because it has a light wing loading you can belly flop a landing with the four blade prop and no damage, I added a removable pilot and flew with a 1300 and 1600 3S. Another well done to HK.

Very nice plane. Just add 20g to the tail and it fly very well. You can update the brushless to a DT750 ( best performance ). We fly in formation ( 4 P-51D in the air flying very close, "Le pied !"). Easy to fly, it's a very good plane. With the Zippy Compact 1300mA 11.1V, it's powerfull and light.

so, got mine at monday in perfect condition, with no damage caused by transport, theres no manual but doesnt mather, its piece of cake to assembly it, got two batteries from turnigy and with/without bat still noseheavy, when the bat is moved to the cockpit and fitted with velcro is this bird balanced.... it looks great but there is damned flood and still raining, so cant fly it, hope ill be able to fly it soon...

I receive mine and start build yesterday. There is no instruction assembly in the box. But we can build it without notice.
I see that flaps are cut in the wing. Is exist a way to make it functionnal ?

Un trs bon avion : j'ai juste remplac le moteur d'origine par un DT750 plus puissant. Vole avec du vent sans problme. Les Zippy Compact 1300mA 3S 25C donne de trs bons rsultats et rentrent facilement dans le tout petit logement de lipo. J'ai ajout du plomb l'arrire pour le rendre plus nerveux au pilotage ( 20g sous le stab ). Le montage est ultra rapide et trs simple. Bravo Hobbyking !

I have just flown my maiden flight with this mustang and I love it, it has a four blade prop that makes it sound real! Also it flies and looks very scale. Only one issue is the ESC that is fitted its not good as mine over heated very quickly and began to smoke, to solve this problem I ordered a Turnigy 25amp ESC this works perfectly. I would recommend this plane for someone who is looking for a the next size up from micros.

A fun little park flyer. I've had this model for over a year, only just got around to assembling it. First thing I found, my batteries wouldn't fit in through hatch. Wasn't going to buy new batteries. Took screws off canopy, replace with velco tabs, cut out dash panel and battery fits nicely in place - hold down with velco strap. No cutting of foam or adding weight is necessary. This is actually spot on for C of G, even a small battery in nose would be too nose heavy. I've flown with batteries from 1300 three cell to 2200 four cell no problem, it flies more stable with a larger 3 cell. Chuck away the undercarriage, easy to hand launch, looks more scale in flight . Stock props useless break very easy, using 10 x 5 reasonable thrust. Put it into a steep dive and watch the wings fold!! As said, lot of fun.

This is just a great plane!

Build is straight forward, looks great when made up. I did the battery mod of sticking batt under dashboard.

I maidened it in constant 15 - 20 KPH winds, I thought, what the heck, I'm not concerned if I cant control it and I crash, but quite the opposite, it was a dream to fly, so stable and smooth and easy, and the 4 blade prop has a bit of torque so it handled the wind well even though it weights next to nothing, not fast but scale, I was confident flying it real close by at fly bys, and it looked and sounded great!

highly recommend, no doubts at all!

I didnt put on main landing gear and hand launched, and belly laned, just all very easy!
