For the price, a great little gimbal. Certainly a no-frills piece of kit and as mentioned above the view angles aren't huge.

The movement is quite smooth, however mine came with 2 dodgy servos that puffed magic smoke on the servo-tester. 5 minutes to replace them and then an easy job to mount it on the Bix3. Overall I'm pretty happy with it (for the price)

Honestly a bit disappointed in this one, I will list the pros and cons.

Pros: Cheap, Works, Cheap, Ant vibration plate, Lightweight.

Cons: Feels cheap (you get what you pay for), the bracket goes together poorly infact I had to cut out a small slot to make the camera fit, comes assembled upside down so had to re-assemble it to mount topside, one of the dampening grommets wasn't even mounted so I had to finish the manufacturers job.
Very bulky.

The price dropped $9 after I purchased it.

And now the worst down side of all....
What is the point of a pan/tilt if you can't pan more than 45deg before the frame gets in the shot. That's right, your camera gimbal will be blocking the cameras view.

Honestly I won't be using this, waste of money. Lucky it was cheap.

Cheap camera mount that comes with adapters of all shapes and sizes to makes sure most GoPro style cameras will fit snugly.

There are a few issues with this "kit" though. The first is that the mounting holes are an odd spacing and don't seem to fit into any standard holes on my frame (Q450), the second issue is that the Protective waterproof case must be removed from the GoPro for it to fit in this (although that seems to be the case for most of these mounts).

The main issue I have is that when the camera is mounted it is very difficult to press the buttons to start/stop video and to change settings, the back "door" is held in with circlips meaning it is a bit of a hassle to take it out and put it in just to start the shots. The only remote solution is unworkable as it involves turning on WiFi, which makes the quad drop out of the sky like a stone (or fly away if you were a maverick with your fail safe). That's not to say that it is impossible to use all the functions of the camera when in the frame, just a bit more difficult that I think it should be.

this gimbal was bought as a possible use on a full size aircraft using Arduinos to control it and a 6050MPU gyro to level it. Proved to work well, my Fly-Link camera fits the mounting with a bit of foam to pad it out. The servos are accurate enough for the self levelling to work well. Not yet tested in the air but look as though it will work

This is a nice gimbal for the GoPro or a board camera. It is assembled and ready to put the camera in. Comes with the servos already installed. Mounting plate will work on airplane or copter.

Feels a little flimsy and the movements aren't as precise as I'd like but for the price, an inexpensive platform to try out aerial photography before splashng out on a more expensive gimbal system. I have an SJ4000 mounted and it fits securely. I might replace the servos with some digital MG units to see if that improves the operation.

Fabulous piece of kit for the money. Exactly as Hobbyking described. Sits a treat on the FPV canopy for the Skymule. As it ships, it is supposed to be hung from underneath the aircraft, so all I had to do was remove the camera support and reinstall it upside-down in the cradle. Voil! The sun shade is pointless unless the whole assembly is sat behind a dome. It's to stop reflections from the camera lens against the inside of the dome. When using "naked", take it off and save some weight. The standard rubber pads are bang up to the job, and eliminate all vibrations. The Turnigy HD action cam/SJ4000 fits snugly inside too. Overall really impressed with this product. I'm chuffed to bits!

This is a very strange gimbal, because it has pan/tilt (pitch/yaw) axis rather than what most 2-axis gimbals have, which is pitch/roll.

Indeed, the description is wrong, as it suggests connecting directly to a KK 2.1 board, which has pitch/roll servo outputs - not pitch/yaw. This means that the compensation output by the KK board is wrong, and you don't end up with particularly steady video at all.

As others have said, this may be useful for an FPV setup where you are looking for pan/tilt to match your head tracking movements, however it is really not suited to the KK board as is suggested in the description.
