OK so there were no instructions included but a little common sense enabled the airframe to be completed within 30-40 minutes. A small application of a scalpel enabled the 2S battery to be mounted well forward and this along with a small amount of lead glued to the front of the fuselage but still within the plastic cowl enabled the C of G to be correctly located on the leading edge of the lower wing.

Mixing of Aileron with rudder is essential if the nose is not to drop within a turn.

All together a thoroughly nice aircraft as the photos show

Cont' The plastic landing gear supports will break guaranteed after a little while, but I found even when they do the wheels still hold into slot fine and it's no major issue, so just remove broken bits and all is still fine. The plane is very durable and I found (as well as hard road landings) that landing in soft long grass is also fine as the plane lands slow and gentle without damage! Basically a fly anytime anywhere little scale ripper of the real Tiger Moth! Hand launches are very easy aswell! 350 and 360mah lipo batteries I found last about 4 minutes of flight time each, so get a few of them to get most enjoyment! I recommend this plane as it's easy to fly for beginners and has great durability and scale looks! Loving mine!

This is a fantastic representation of the real UK silver yellow Military colors Tiger Moth! You can see the exact same real Tiger in this Military colors by looking in google images under a Tiger Moth search. Compare the scale looks of this and you would be hard pressed to find a difference to the real Tiggie! The plane has only 2 flaws. Number 1 is the battery compartment is very tiny. Don't take note of the 450 to 500 mah pack they recommend as that just won't fit! A zippy 350 or Rhino 360 are the only ones that will! I found that it still needs nose weight. Number 2 is the landing gear will break easy.

Great little mini moth! I built mine in no time and it was great that no messy glue was needed! Everything went together with quality little screws! And the wing wire I tightened it with some super glue as amount of wire included was just enough and not enough to tie off. Now there is just 1 major drag with this model, the battery compartment is just too tiny. However I got smart and read reviews before I bought and got the zippy 350 batteries and other reviewers please take note that even these are almost impossible to fit in! Now as reviewers said you need some nose weight to account for not using a 450 to 500 battery so I just put two Australian 50 cent pieces (I pushed both of them tight one in each side pocket of the plastic motor cowling) and nose weight was then perfect! Battery compartment It's just so crammed? What ever was hobbyking thinking saying a 450 to 500 mah will fit? I doubt whether you'd fit even a 250 mah? If only hobbyking made that compartment bigger what a blessing ( and longer flight times) this cute little plane would be! Anyhow with painstaking effort the zippy 350 went in and I did my maiden with her today in stormy but only gentle wind. I set all trims level and the throws were all good. Rudder push pull wires feature is so cute! And engine make a very nice electronic like whirl as spinner spins (that is cute as well)! I tried a hand launch in a gras

This tiny Tiger Moth is great. It looks beautiful and there's enough power to take off from a smooth road or cricket pitch. It flies well with a bit of trim adjustment necessary due to difficulty with inserting a big enough battery into the tiny battery compartment. Landings are slow and easy on the plane. If you're looking for a very small plane (sub-micro or nano to some) and a display-worthy model then this is it.
4 crowns for overall rating due to the small battery compartment, but that can be overcome with the right battery and fiddling the trim.

A bit more on the Tigger saga, the two rolls of wire supplied for the rigging were only just long enough but too short to tie off so I had to epoxy them in place, then when trimming the control surfaces the aileron servo came apart and the gears would no longer mesh, as the rigging wires were glued in place, removing the bottom wing was going to be a mission, so instead I cut a neat hole in the side of the fus and removed the servo and plugged the rudder into the aileron slot, so it is now a 3 channel.

but at least I will be able to fly it. A 350 mAh battery will fit with a push but I have added 45gr to the nose to get the CG.

Could only recommend this model if you want a challenge, but then maybe I just copped a crook one.

Plane arrived with faulty elevator servo. The top of the servo was completely loose, laying next to the servo and exposing the grear train. One gear was missing so no chance to repair it. And of course there is no meaning in complaining to HK or to send it back. Will never get a replacement. Please see picture in the file section. Otherwise plane looks very nice with lots of details but and perhaps it flies OK but I will only know once I have replaced the servo. And of course no manusl but should be easy to put togehter. I still think it is not quite cheap compared to other planes.
