Overall: it´s a steal with fun for 30€ with lots of fun on the long run. Basic setup and especially motor is good for nice playing with good speed @2S. No matter wat "they" say: 3S@ original Motor / airscrew will result in a sudden "glow in the dark" effect with some fog from burnt cable.
BUT: absolutely no deal to change the motor mount / motor to a propperer one @3S and a 5x4.5 3-blade with 30A ESC and there is still roomm left for the 3S/1500 but ESC outside.
I dropped it in, it went crazy fast, I had fun. Go for it. Cheapest fun boat arround!

Excellent value but the design is flawed.

Firstly, for what you get, this is fantastic value. That said, the airboat could be better with a redesign. When assembled, it is underpowered and struggles onto the plane. I upgraded from the existing motor at about 65w to a bigger motor with 3 cell lipo giving 130w. Much better.
The biggest problem is that the battery compartment is too small. It should be extended forward into the front deck. This would allow a decent 3 cell battery etc.
Unfortunately I used mine in too strong a wind and it got blown over. The capsize destroyed the reciever and esc. I have not tried to use it since but suspect the motor is gone as well. If I rebuild it I will do some surgery on it and build a much bigger battery compartment and also some floats on the cage to prevent inversion if it tips over again.
It a fun model but due to the capsize, it was retired after only a week. I am still glad I bought it.

What a funny craft.

As I purchased the Swamp Dawg I just liked to have a little toy for my son. As it arrived I was lucky to have one ESC - not included. Description says in German Page:
"Sie erhalten eine 20amp ESC..." and also "Erforderlich. 2-Kanal-Sender & Empfänger (TX / RX) 20A ESC 1000mAh 2S 7.4V Lipo" what actually means yes and no :)
To the boat. I was surprised about a good amount of quality parts. But looking at the motor I was not really confident about. Especilly the mounting is somewhat but not good and interchangeable for bigger ones...
For I have no 2S Lipos I decided to put in a 3S. Result: Motor burned on water with delivered airscrew. My fault, hk did not intend to have 3S on it. BUT I decided to put in a 2700kV 22 size motor with a standard back-cross and a 5x4.5 3-blade prop from Schubkraft. There we go! Now - with a 40 Amp ESC - this thing goes!
After all I would highly recomend this boat if available for 30 bugs. It´s worth the prize and means a lot of fun. The RX should be protected from water because this thing is not absolutely waterprof under heavy use ;) Not recomended for little 5 years olds. To "twiggely" to control.
Only bad spot is the prop cage that can not be disassembled once it is put into its place. This means a lot of trouble changing Motor or Airscrew.

Divertente Airboat, solo lo scomparto batteria lo trovo piccolo, da utilizzare con batteria di piccole dimensioni. (salvo modifiche personali...)
