• construction durable Ultra mousse EPO

Great looks, excellent design, crashes well lol!

Jan 07, 2018

This was my first 4 channel RC. I love it to pieces. Had it about 6 months now and crashed it about 8 times due to radio drop-out problems.
(I have solved that after several changes to the receiver antenna set up, andf the transmitter antenna. I now have excellent range and no drop out by drilling a hole in the bottom left side of the cockpit and push the antenna out through that. So it dangles under the glider. And to match this I have my transmitter antenna bent vertically upwards.)
I have also found that the glide performance, and trim, can be greatly improved by paxking up the top of the fuselage behind the hole under the wings, by about 2mm. (I used a couple of 1mm sheets of balsa, taped down with clear packing tape.)
This reduces the large angle of incidence on the wing by about half, so it is still quite stable on 'hands off' gliding, but has reduced the drag factor considerably. So nice fat glides and slick hovering type landings.
Also carefully coverd the wings, top and bottom, with clear light weight packing tape. Hopefully that reduced drag a bit too, although it has added a few grams to the weight.
Love this glider. Have had to repair the nose section several times due to those crashes, but enough thickness in the foam that it is a quick and easy repair job.

Good Glider, Steady and relaxing

Apr 17, 2017

The breeze is a great plane to fly, but I couldn't quite give it 5 crowns due to some alterations I had to make to the PNF version. The wing halves did not match up properly (the left side is slightly thinner than the right at the join) and I had to adjust the servos and push rods for rudder and elevator as they came the wrong way around. However it is still a very good plane. It is able to take a few knocks and shrug it off, easy to repair if it doesn't. It can fly very slowly, and can also pick up a fair amount of speed too! Can do some basic aerobatics such as a lazy roll and loop. I could not recommend this enough as a second or even first plane for anyone.

I run the standard setup, with Nano-tech 1800mah 3cell battery and get around 30mins, mostly half or less throttle for soaring/gliding on wind.

If you're reading reviews then you should probably buy it, it is everything it says it is, but just one caution, I don't think it would be suitable for long range FPV due to a lack of room in the fuselage

I cannot praise this glider highly enough! It is very well made being far superior in build quality to my previous plane (a Bixler). It seems to be a good follow-on plane from the Bixler, being much more lively than my tired example.
Don`t expect it to take off on the undercart unless you have access to a billiard table smooth field. However, just a gentle throw will get it airborne. Flying is easy and predictable (a Breeze in fact),being predictable and easily controlled. i have hot-glued the wings together as i was finding the elastic bands used to retain the wings would work down between the wing halves. Change the bands for heftier, better examples.

Awesome plane - flies really well. Using for FPV and the included FPV canopy is a nice touch. Glides forever, so hook up those flaps! Also, use some loc-tite on the screws that hold in the tail - I didn't and lost one of the screws, but I just ended up gluing it. Only thing I'd ask is that one of the flap servo cut outs be reversed so that flaps can work off a y-harness. As is you need a reverser or to run two channels (or cut your own servo location).

Excellent plane, 5 minutes to put together no glue needed, beautiful and stable to fly with no nasty surprises, getting 20 minutes flight time from a 2200mah 3s taking it steady, had to add a little weight to the front seems to fly better a little nose heavy.

Cant recommend this plane highly enough especially if you are new to flying and want something that's nice and easy to fly.

10 out of 10 love it

I got this plane a few weeks ago as my first plane after a friend got me interested. It's a fantastic beginner plane and I would highly recommend one. Was out doing loop de loops the other day :) She flies beautiful under full power and glides like a breeze. She's well named.

This E-powered glider is a 'Breeze' to build and a 'Breeze' to fly, lol! Even though it does not have a steerable tail wheel, ground handling/taxiing is very good. Three of us at the flying club gave it a go today and all of us loved it and agreed it fly's and glides better than the Bixler v1,1.1, or 2. Flew it with 3s2200 packs. A bit of a tight fit but worked/CG'd fine. Easily can get 10 minute runtimes at 1/2 throttle, much more if you mix in a bit of gliding. Great job HK, this is a real winner imho.
