Super lightweight and flies, somewhat anemically, on 2S power. Glides extremely well. Once at altitude I found it will float for a long time with the motor turned off.
Rated quality low because the motor that came in the kit was DOA. Had to swap in a lower KV motor from an older model I had laying around.
Very stable and a nice slow flier on 2S power. Durable and the pusher configuration is forgiving and saves props.
All in all, happy for the price.

great flyer, good for training beginners, but the engine is crap, very noisy (small prop) and burned after 5 flights...ordered a lower KV motor, the one now sold with the Bixler 2...

Bixler 1.1 is the perfect trainer. Our club advises beginners to start with the Bixler 1.1.Jammer that no spare parts are available. But otherwise it is a great plane.

During the assembly, I lenghten the cables from the motor. To find the holes from the wings was a little bit difficult. I glued the fuselage with 5min Epoxy. I saw, that the 5min Epoxy did´nt had a good liability at every area. It is important to use the right glue. Because of the longer cables at the motor, i had a chance to change the ESC controller from 20A to 30A, because the 20A ESC got a little bit hot during the first flight.
The flight characteristics are very good during fast or slow flights. One time i made a ground start in low grass. The plane make a lot of fun and i think you can´t buy a better plane for this price.

My main concern was about shipping damages that plane could suffer during its trip from Global Warehouse to my location in Argentina.
However I have to say the packaging is very good actually, and the plane arrived in perfect shape. Some small items I ordered separately were set into the Bixler box, and all together into a stronger, much stronger, cardboard box. Everything is in perfect condition and I am very happy with my first time ordering a complete plane.
Regarding this Bixler ARF kit, quality of parts is very good. It comes with a two parts fuselage, a two parts wing, a carbon fibre wing reinforcement, the tail group, a pilot figure, transparent plastic for a canopy, four installed servos and their pushrods, two different propellers with a collet type adapter, one motor and other smaller stuff.
Only need to add foam-safe glue, an ESC-BEC and a Radio System.
I do like this plane.

Excellent flyer in light wind

The canopy floor was a poor fit. Installed my own magnets. Had to figure out how to add a battery retainer. I read reviews about assembling the wings. Using glue not a good idea - makes the plane un-repairable. I tapered the nose of the screws with a file. A little wiggle and success. After my first crash, the canopy is now held on with a rubber band. A little glue and tape on the wing and fuselage and back in the air!

You will crash the plane so figuring out how to fix it is part of the fun. Experienced club members are the best resource. The manual was sad. The CG was the only item I needed. I soldered extensions to the motor leads to make assembly easier.

Excellent motoplaneur pour presque débutant.
Pour le premier vol se faire aider impérativement et trouver un lanceur différent du pilote.
Clé d'aile remplacée par une tube carbone de 5.5 (flèche de tir à l'arc décathlon) pour 4€, dessous de fuselage à renforcer au scotch armé.
