great small servo. It is currently being used as a shift servo in a 2 speed rock racer transI have 20 of these - use it in all my 60" EF aircrafts and 2 wattaplane 55" aircrafts. My buddies also use it in the EF planes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLdJMs20LMgBought 3 of these servos for my atom 500. One died immediately at first connection. Replaced them with align ds515. They should really step up their quality controls. So I haven't got to test these servos. I just don't want to risk my heli.Allmost no gear clearance. Usable servo for the priceReally good servos, I'm running them on 6V on ailerons of a 55 size 3D plane and will install as dual elevator servos on a 60 size. Good centering, speed and torque. I always include one or two on every HK order to complete shipping.Great servo for hk500 modded to DFC, it is fast and strong, centers well, hope it will last if i don't break it before by crashing my heli :):):)I use 3 of them (I bought 4) on cyclic on Trex500 with Ikon fbl, them are very fast and very strong iven at 5V and no slop.STOP BUYING FROM HOBBYKING,THEY ARE DOING ONLINE ROBBERY,since November 2013 more then 50 orders missing from me and my friendsI bought these for cyclic on my HK500TT FBL, and they've performed really well. I've had a few crashes, and though the servo arms snapped off the aileron servos, the gears and cases appear undamaged. The cases look durable, with solid, thick mounting lugs, and there's very little backlash in the gears. They are a perfect fit in the 500.
My only slight reservation was that the supplied servo arms are a little loose on the output shafts - but I replaced them with some spare Futaba 4 way arms I had from various 9257 clones, and those were a much snugger fit, and also enabled me to get my trim down to single digits in the FBL controller.
Having run them at 6v from a Hobbywing 8A UBEC, I'm now running them directly off a 2s LiFe pack, and they are staying cool.
For the money, I don't think you can find a better cyclic servo for the 500.I am using these a in my Extra 260 and they are fast quiet and reliable with good centring. If they are EVER back in stock I will buy more .
