Extremely good value for $65aud, but not very well made. Don't throw it hard.

Had it for a couple days now, and I've been trying to get more height. It doesn't get to high, and after trying to hard the wing was weakened near the join, not glued properly + cheap design. It's fixable.
Whilst it was going it was great fun. Looks beautiful. I even caught a thermal on the second day only 20m above ground!
Worth getting for the price, but after a while you might want to move up. Don't try to fly it like you see the professionals in the video's fly it like. It's not a Snipe for sure. Not having a rudder is a pain though, launches can't really be corrected with aileron.

It looks nice, but is flying poorly ...
Balancing recommended by the manufacturer is bad, you have to pry more forward

Plane flying nice and stable. The quality is hard to be desired. The carbon boom is already broken down the length at the first rough landing. This seems to me more glasfiber in carbon look. In the wing, various parts timber not properly glued. Give a little more money and buy a real plane.

Totally rubbish product.
The boom is far too thin and broke on the second launch. (didn't even throw it hard)
No spare parts available anywhere. Don't waste your money on this.
(this is the second review I've posted about this. first one removed by HK Guess they don't like people saying how rubbish there products are.)

This is the first DLG i have bought. The quality is ok, in relation to the price. After a few minutes of programming my Taranis i was able to go to the field for my first flights. Without any experience or thermals, i was able to fly for just under 30 seconds. Its a great start into the world of DLGs!

The HK mini DLG with rudder and elevator only is better in every way (I bought this as an upgrade). First ruff landing and the rudder broke, after opening it up to repair it I noticed NONE of the joints in the rudder were glued! After that I did a closer inspection of the entire plane. Joints and ribs in the wing were not glued, the aileron hinges were not even, the aileron tape was coming off already, the fuse had a crack already(!!!) and the fuse is thinner and more flexible than the mini fuse!!!!!!
After all that I would recommend the other HK mini DLG. BUT BUT BUT... for the $$ it is worth every pennie! But ya its cheap!

Really nice DLG, it is my first wooden plane, and it held up really well, nothings broke till today, my foamies are more fragile than this plane :)

I'm giving this baby a rare 5-crown review. I was given this as a Christmas gift at the end of 2014 when my wife asked what I'd like. I had it together in less than an hour with a lemonRX receiver, BEC and 300ma battery. Then, it sat quietly for almost four months waiting for winter to end. Ugh. I finally took it out and built up the necessary technique to toss in, oh, two throws. It immediately flew perfectly, caught some thermals and I was hooked. The build quality is excellent, but it's the performance I really love. It's like a mini hot liner without a motor... well, the motor is your arm. I had forgotten how much I love gliders until I flew this and now I can't wait to get back out to the field!

Somewhat poor quality overall, boom broke on the first landing from just hitting some grass. Flies somewhat ok tho, until I crashed it and now have to do a wing repair since they broke in half. Upon removing some covering I saw that there are huge gaps in gluing everywhere, the trailing edge was not even glued to the wingtip. Don't throw this one too hard or it will fall to pieces. I would recommend a better quality glider form a better brand.

I am flying this modell with 1-cell LiPo w/o any problem, no 2-cell bat. and BEC needed.
The receiver is "FrSky D4R-II 4ch 2.4Ghz ACCST Receiver". Lighter weight, perfect choice.
