Wanted a quality ESC for my S500 in 4S setup. One of the four smoked during RTH and quad fell from 0.5 m breaking a leg. I have many hobbywing esc on my helis and no one has ever failed. Don't know what happened to this one, I'm worried, don't know if I can trust them for my 1.7-1.8 kg quad. Had afro ESC on older projects and the first one died after more than 100 flights, this one had only 10 .... :( Disapointed but it might be an exception.

Just received mine and have yet to fire it up, however, the power leads are very light duty for a 40 Amp speedie. I'll be replacing mine. These light gauge leads surely save weight, but 40 amps is 40 amps.

Using these with Emax 3510 motors on a Tarot 680 Pro with Naza V2
and the craft is very stable, and as yet no overheating or sync issues.

I haven't even calibrated the throttle yet on the ESC's as they seem great straight
out of the packet.

After having issues with some flycolour esc i purchased these, very impressed. I run them on 5 and 6s (with fpv gear) on a tarot ironman 360kv pancake motors. they really are 40 amp esc as the last ones got very hot and the quad & was twitchy. these even after some serious altitude pumps they stay cold. Could probably put some larger props and push them harder as even my motors are cooler, running them higher then the rated max draw (DYS motors) of the motors as the esc.. good to know what a difference decent esc's make!
