A beautiful chromed engine with the cylinder head, well finished, very well packed.
Just connect the glow plug ignitor firmly launched the propeller and presto, it runs like clockwork !!!!
The manual is very well detailed and all in English with all the necessary explanations.Ballbering housing in front crank case was defected lot of fule was leaking away by spreying that culd bee seen easly....becouse of that was an engine arrest after 4 minuts or when low rpm.....
Cast of the engin is horrible.....machining of moving parts allso in very low qualey....dont mess with that engine manifecture.....a waist of mony fule and time...and if you are lucky...the hall planeEngine is well built and runs great with lots of power.HK does not stock a carb for this motor and I was not able to purchase a carb anywhere that I could find.Purchased an ASP carb but had to machine the throat as the ASP carb was too big.Stay away from this one unless you are never planning on buying a carb for this motor.Received this engine with the "black box", install on my TWM SS30, running breakin with 10x6 JXF propeller, HK #3 glow plug, and fuel with 18pcnt castor oil. Easy to start, no need electric starter. Just need little adjustment on iddle niddle. Good engine!this is a very nice engine. only issue i had was with a few imperfections on the ends of one or two of the cooling fins. started up first flick. i am running an 11x6 kiel kraft prop. run it for two minutes full 10 secs at fast idle for approx 30 minutes on the ground. it was done in 3 10 minute lots with letting it cool down to a level cool enough to touch by hand. i dont have a tach so it is just by ear but the revs seem to have inreased as it was run. im not sure why but after running it in the plug was black. at full throttle it was leaned out and backed off about 1/4 of a turn.all in all it is a good engine if you want some thing to strap to the front of your trainer or sport plane or sunday hack. all running was done on 10pcnt nitro, 20pcnt syntheticHave just run the ING 46 and I am quite happy with it . It is well made (voided my warranty for you) having a chrome plated liner. The piston has an oil grove machined into it and the machined alloy con-rod is bushed at both ends. The crank shaft is machined with a counter weight as is usual, and is fitted (or machined) with a hollow crank pin. Internal finish is excellent. The instruction manual is in English and VERY well written containing all the required operating and safety information suitable for a beginner as well. The machined cylinder head has 2 aluminium shims fitted. One (only) can be removed for running on nitro free fuel.(optional)
I fitted a OS. 8 glowplug as none was supplied. I left the shims in place and used STD (no nitro) 18pcnt syn oil fuel. I fitted a 10X6 APC prop.
I used an electric starter only.
Main needle 2 turns out. Idle needle untouched (as yet).
Start was instant, ran for 1 minute intervals allowed to cool, then leaned needle 3 clicks. Restarts were easy. Needle is not sensitive. Idle is steady at 3500 rpm.
Full power after 10 mins running time only is 12500 rpm. Lovely to use.
Delighted with it so far, needs more running in. Great potential, very good product.
