Micro Engineering H0 Scale 50ft Double Track Through Girder Bridge Kit (75-521)

The Micro Engineering Company was founded in 1964 and over the years has become one of the leading companies in the US manufacturing model railway accessories. They started of producing scale model railway track in a single gauge then expanded this into a long line of track and track accessories in HO, N, G and O gauge scales. They then branched out into a wide range of highly detailed injection molded styrene kits including buildings, girder bridges, trackside accessories and much much more.

Plate girder bridges are typically made of I-Beams with separate structural steel plates, newer types are welded, this model depicts the older riveted type. These type of bridges are suitable for short to medium spans across rivers etc. This is an easy to assemble pre-colored injection molded styrene kit that requires assembling and gluing. The kit includes lateral bracing, cross beams, stringers and rivet plates and can be modeled with square or round girder ends. The simulated concrete deck allows for an open deck or ballasted deck construction, 2 pieces of HO Code 83 flex-track are also included.
