The coil is very light and does come tight so you can open it a little to make it fit other applications but not a problem for motors with a case on as well. always user 3.5mm tube this way you will have better water flow.

3mm is a bit slow on the flow. air tube for fish tanks will do it!

I added heatsink grease to mine and slid into place. You could also use thermal conductive adhesive. They work well!
