Habe mir auch neulich das Segelboot besorgt. Kam nach knapper Woche an und war alles in Ordnung. Vom Bausatz her für das Geld echt super. Man darf es natürlich nicht mit deutlich teureren Modellen vergleichen, denn das wäre ungerecht.
Da ich gelesen hatte, dass einige Problem hatten, ausreichend Gewicht in die Kielbombe zu bekommen, habe ich mir überlegt wie ich sowenig bleifreie Zwischenräume herstelle. Allos die Kielbombe zerlegt, das geht ganz gut, ist ja nur mit etwas Sekundenkleber zusammengepappt.und lässt sich vorsichtig mit einem Kutter zerlegen. Dann hab ich mit Wälzbleiplatten angefangen die zwei Hälften zu füllen, etwas Platz gelassen und siehe da, schon knapp 1,3Kg. Nach dem zusammenkleben der zwei Hälften den Rest mit 2mm Bleikugeln gefüllt und somit insgesamt 1750Gramm reingebracht. Die Kilebombe wiegt somit mit Hülle insgesamt 1800Gramm.
Am Wochenende war ich damit segeln und ging echt gut das Teil, ohne erst mal an der Feintrimmung zu arbeiten. Als Stromversorgung nutze ich einen 2S 1000 mAh Lipo mit Ubec.
Ich bin damit super zufrieden und optimales Gerät für schöne gemütliche Stunden am See.

This is a good boat and can be a really good boat with a few modifications you can do yourself. Spend time researching them and do them before your first trip to the water. #1 - add Styrofoam inside for buoyancy. As much as you can fit in it. Remove the servo tray and cut pieces from an old cooler, packing or buy a sheet of the insulation polystyrene from the hardware store. #2 - Seal the hatch as well as you can and everything else that you can. WATERPROOF, WATERPROOF, WATERPROOF!! Test it in a pool or fill it with water and look for leaks. Other things include changing some of the plastic tie points with metal, better grade bowsies from Aquacraft, better string like .5-.8 mm Spectra fishing line you can find on *mazon and better hardware all around. Also - a COMPLAINT about FEDEX in the USA!! They $uck!!! Every shipment has been at least three days late and tracking isn't updated sometimes for several days. Get a contract with UPS!! - PLEASE!!

Received mine yesterday, but had to pay a small amount of money for customs and duty as I ordered it from the international warehouse. However, is is still very worthwhile. Very nice boat, well-packed and all in order thanks to HobbyKing. I will post later on after assembling and trying it on the water.

I love this sailboat. Assembly is straightforward and with the instructions and pictures I had no problems. I recommend filling the ballast with #8 shot for a total weight of 4.2 pounds. I had to reshape the spud where the mast fits due to excessive paint making the socket smaller but that is a minor issue. I don't care for the sail winch in that it has too much line and could be designed with half the amount of rotations to let the sails out. There are modifications on YouTube and I will probably incorporate that into the boat at a later time. Overall, for the money, you are getting a great boat and once you sail it you can then make changes to suit your sailing needs.

This is a very good boat for the money. You can get all you need for about $150. and have lots of fun. You will need a radio set, battery holder for 4 AA batteries, an optional switch harness and 4 Lbs of lead shot. All but the lead shot is available from HK.
Our condo in Naples FL has several ponds and we have had great fun sailing these amazing boats. We now have a growing fleet of 8 Phantoms with several more expected to be ready for next season. The only disadvantages of these boats are that they are not easy to disassemble for storage or transport. Also they must be handled with care once assembled. With the heavy lead at the end of a long keel the boat can be damaged if you are careless. One of our boats developed a crack in the fiberglass hull right where the keel enters the bottom of the hull. Best guess is it was cracked when the boat was being set down on shore or when laying on it's side during a car ride.
Performance of the boats is very good. They can be sailed in winds so light you can't feel them. In a 10-15 mph breeze they are challenging to sail but really fun!

Das Segelschiff ist vorgestern angekommen. Der Aufbau geht binnen 1-2 Stunden rasch von der Hand, die Qualitt ist vom Preis Leistungsverhltnis gesehen sehr gut wenn man bedenkt dass die Segelwinde auch mit dabei ist. Leider war beim ersten segeln sehr wenig Wind, aber dennoch hat es einen riesen Spa gemacht das Boot zu steuern. Als Anfnger im Bereich segeln hat man es auch bald heraus wie die Segelwinde bei wechselndem Wind bzw. Manver verstellt werden mu um in Fahrt zu kommen.

The latest Phantoms have been improved on the earlier model with problems like rusty screws and broken servo trays a thing of the past.
That you can now buy all parts for them (only from the International warehouse, though) makes them even more attractive, especially a low cost (watch the freight, though).
If you are looking at getting one or seeking help on it, do a Google on shipshaperc and follow the first result.

Nach nur 3 Tagen Lieferzeit aus Holland war meine Phantom da! Klasse. Das Boot ist sehr sauber verarbeitet, macht einen weitaus teureren Eindruck. Tolles Finish in Kevlar Optik. Und bis zur letzten Schraube incl. Stnder aus Alu ist alles dabei! Unschlagbar.

Was nicht gefllt, ist die Takelage aus einfachem Garn. Beim 1. aufriggern brauchte es fast eine Stunde, die verwuselten Stage und Wanten zu entwirren. Werde die Tampen durch Diamantlitze ersetzen, sowie die Schaumstoff- "Dichtung" unter dem Deckel gegen hochwertigeres. Ich denke mal, dann ist es das perfekte Boot.

In die Kielbombe habe ich Bleigranulat eingefllt, mehr als 1260 gr. habe ich beim besten Willen nicht rein bekommen. Werde das ganz noch mit Epoxi vergiessen, dann wird der Ballast wohl passend sein.

Alles in allem ein wirklich tolles Teil, musste gleich eine 2. fr einen Freund bestellen, als er das Boot bei mir gesehen hatte....

im giving this rating because mine had missing parts;1 rudder,2mast cover holder,3steerring cover decal,4 steering wheels.I have sent photo,s they needed now they want me to send them photo,s of parts that i do have.to see the parts i don,t have.I fill they are calling me a liar.I won,t be buying from hobbyking again.

Receved this boat about a week ago. Main prblems are rudder shaft is VERY loose, keel foil is/was bent rather badly. I think all the standing and running rigging should be replaced, it's not strong enough. The hull, however, seems to be pretty good quality.
