Bought as DYS 250 glassfiber replacement

I bought it as DYS 250 glassfiber replacement. Original two of them had been burned off (I don't know why but probably not enough good electrical isolation of ironing pins). I bought this replacement and they are full compatible with DYS 250 originals. Little different comparing to the photo (no capacitor), which I threat as advantage - less mechanical problems. Probably they have different firmware, engine starts around 1150 PWM comparing to 1050 for original. Anyway everything good.

I ordered this to replace a burnt out esc on a DYS 320, and as others have said, it is definitely NOT compatible. The motor wired to it spun at only 2600 RPM whereas the others were at 5600 RPM. Not even remotely close! I doubt that even using 4 of these would work well, unless you put on bigger props, which wont fit. Why did they stop making the V1 one, and then replace it with something completely different? Who is designing this stuff and what testing are they doing? Worse yet, they STILL list it as compatible after all the complaints? Yet another instance of HK jerking customers around. I think I'm finished with hobbyking; everything they make is a one-off production, and in RC that is unacceptable. Not to mention the 2 month shipping time.

Value: For $9.52 each, I only bought 2 of these. Price wise, it's quite cheap. BUT the problem with stock is worrying. For now, I haven't used those spare ESCs, so let's hope HK will stock them again in the long run.
Quality: Being an opto ESC, it doesn't came with a tube cover. Also the design on the 320 made them need to be put on the body. While it looked protected under the frame, any debris or a little of water could made them short circuited in an instant.
Overall: I only bought this as a spare. When I have used them all, I'm thinking to change them to other ESC.
