This Yaw mount is superb. It is good option for DIY Tricopters. The only problem I found is you need to use 10x10mm booms. Would be good if they had 13x13mm option as well.

Great solution but poor quality. Aluminium parts should be cut me more precise. I had to glue in tail part to motor mount. Tail screw didn't fit because of imperial diameter vs metric from the opposite side. Its now M3 and holds tight. Had to purchase HK servos, standard servos didn't fit at all.
After all modifications works great.

The servo has to push perpendicular to the servo shaft (you could wrap a rubber band around both to solve) and the gears aren't cut to reduce backlash. They are good for prototyping, but in the long run I'm switching to something stronger and more accurate.

Im using the TGY 9018MG, I noticied that this mount does force too much the servo, expect some broken gears ;)

For the price you can't beat it. The fact that the servo has to be zip tied is kind of weak but I will 3D print something for it.

I replaced the delicate X900 assembly with one of these. Much more crash resilient and spares available.
