This boat is very fast, but I would highly recommend replacing the ESC. The product I got was badged as Joysway, which is know for just placing a sticker as their decal rather than putting a laquer finish to protect the decal. In some twist of fate this actually work in my favour as I didn't like the decals anyway and designed my own. Don't know why though why this is badged as Joysway rather than actually TFL which it trully is. You also have to do a few modifications as the way they place the battery makes the front a lot heavier and you end up with a submarine if you don't take off properly. Also the lid doesn't that great as you have to push it down to squeeze it shut before using the screw on the back to secure it. Did some modification there I used Neoprene foam lining on the lid and magnets to secure the hatch and water seal it. You will have to remove the bold at the fron't of the lid and patch the hole on the hatch to prevent water from coming in. The reason I did this as it takes so much time trying to get the tape sealed from the top part of the hatch to the hull due to the way it goes on an almost 90 degree then off on another angle. Just have a look (just above the "Seafire" decal).

I purchased this boat and ran it with nannotech 2s 5000mah 65c packs. I put them as close to in the battery tray as I could and it ran ok, just a touch nose heavy. Ive cut the battery trays to fit the packs about 20mm toward the rear of the boat. I have also installed the T120A esc and aquastar 3180kv motor which Im running on 4s (it loves it)
Ive also fitted the 40mm 1.4p metal prop from hobbyking and Im telling you for a 4s boat this thing MOVES! Dont winge at me about too many RPM ive got plenty of boats that pull this kind of RPM and love life, you just have to set them up right.
I have uploaded a video to youtube, its easy to find, my youtube name is the same as here.
highly recommended boat, for under 350 delivered with upgrades, its a damn rocket.

Have received this boat very impressed with fit/out and quality boat handles excellent, have had no problems with esc or motor stock setup very good if you want to add some floatation to front of boat buy a can of expanding foam and give it a squirt into the front cavities you will find this will do the trick very well with no fuss.

This boat is incredible! My kids play with it like crazy. An rc rescue boat or rubber boat is a need because SeaFire can kip over easily. Even after 30 min topside down in water it runs perfectly! If do not forget to follow the set of instructions by Oldsalt, your boat will run forever. It's fun, fun, fun!!

Great boat very fast, make sure to buy spares with this one, and waterproof everything when before you use it. The 5mm shaft is a bit of an oddity, finding props is not overly easy. The esc will give up after a couple of dunking a so make sure to buy a few spares - the turnigy 120a is a good fit but make sure you waterproof it before you run with plenty of silicone. Have had no issues with motor or shaft yet.

Take a leopard 3674 1900KV motor with 6-cell 5000mAh Lipo and the boat runs over 100 km / h (Prop 40 mm) that is fun, fun, fun!
ESC should be over 120 amps.

I finally got to run this boat today. set it up to specs. Two nano-tec 2s 5000Mah 35-70c. ESC barely warm, motor barely warm. probably got 4 minutes out of it. It was spraying a nice stream from the water outlet at high speed. I have to say this is an impressive boat for the money. Out of the box into the water maybe 30 minutes with time for a snack. read where people say its gets a lot of water in it, nonsense. you have to tape almost all boats i have ever seen closed. the white top should fit better perhaps a little mod needed there. IT WILL SUBMARINE ON LOW THROTTLE. pop the throttle to it and get on plane and its a breeze to drive.
Seemed very fast for the $$$. I have run a prather 32" tunnel and while this boat is not as fast or nice it is economical and plenty of fun. Really impressed with the speed V/s $$ Not a toy store boat.

Has anybody noticed that under the include section they say that it comes with a surge crusher. So that says that you will get the sea fire and a surge crusher. Hmm HK.

Bought one of these earlier this year and overall am very impressed. It takes a little while to get on plane but once it gets going is faster than I expected. While I agree with the other reviews that calm is best it handled rough water fairly well (mind you a fishing rod is a good investment).

Overall great buy and highly recommend for the price.
