Had some problems with this heli. It would only start to lift off the ground at about 96pcnt throttle, and when pushed to 100pcnt, it would only raise very slowly. Not sure if it's the battery poorly charged or not, but I could sustain about 5-6 hovering about 50cm off the ground. So it may not be the battery. Emailing HK for advice. If anyone else has experienced similar things, or can suggest possible causes, comments most appreciated.i have truly enjoyed this heli it is my first cp, I've learned alot and found a unit that is not too big to fly indoors,actually it is also very durable.

I m not really into heli, and if I was going to buy, I'd likely get a larger size... as complete heli newb I found the set up and trim quite difficult. My initial attempts at flight ended abruptly due to pilot ignorance... The model seems quite well built! I was sure that I had damaged it few times, but found that the heli can withstand some abuse. Nice model, kinda fun for indoor rainy day fun.. thanks HK!weak main gears will strip, swash seperates like the msr and eventually you will need to replace it. i had to bump up the gyro to get a locked tail during hard moves. i also had only one brown out while flying which smashed up the canopy. scotch tape fixed that problem. the price, it is worth buying and it does some mild 3d: loops front/back flips, rolls, inverted.. buying parts from helipal and miracle sucks as the parts are expensive but at least they have parts unlike hobbyking...I am enjoying my sp100d not to large to fly in the house. pretty stable for me I'm new to collective pitch. but I am able to hover this one and move around. for my flying you can't beat it.I already have this HELI, and flown flawless it's super acrobatic just take care went star up to keep this heli straigth and moveless.
The overall construction it though but the SKIDS and main gear are a little bit SOFT.
I already eated a thooth of my main pinion and i have to repair the main year with shrinking tube.
So buy extra parts inmediatly the tail SOLID ROCKS and soft fly it's possible. I dont know this is for indoor flying but i thing i not possible to keep hold steady like fixed pitch one's. Mine are a little bit twichy. I love it, this is a trainer for MICRO COLLECTIVE PITCH you will be learn to fly biggest one with this one THE THE SCARE OFF.I didn't purchase this product at HobbyKing because I couldn't (NineEagles embargo to Europe). So I bought it locally.
Nevertheless, I can say a few things about it.
Tx is great, lots of adjustment capabilities for planes and helicopters like curves (expo), d/r, subtrim, servo reverse, mixes, speed gear, etc. It seems it can even bind to previous "old" Nine Eagles 4ch models like Solo Pro V or Cessna (at least the manual says, but I didn't try).
BUT it doesn't have memory, so adjusment can't be saved when another model is selected. So beware if you purchase this BNF expecting using the Tx purchased with the Solo Pro 180, adjustments aren't the same.
My Tx has a flaw: I can't adjust aileron trim to the right. It seems a assembly issue as the switch is in contact with the case.
After the first flights: main collar retainer loosened, main gear went down and swashplate disassembled itself (the top part moved out from the ball bearing).
