Pros: Nice beefy hardware. Excellent handling. Not as fast as my first-gen Blackjack, but some strut adjustments should yield some higher top speed. Electronics are adequate if you run with recommended 4S (2 2S LiPo) setup.

Cons: Thin, cheap fiberglass; you can see light shine through it. Grazed the seawall and did quite a bit of damage that most boats wouldn't have incurred. Lots of fiberglass repair required. Needed a repaint anyway to make it more opaque.

Notes: I hate the hassle of hatch tape, so before putting it in the water for the first time installed auto-bailer. Any water that gets in is quickly removed. Highly recommended. I'm not a fan of rudder water pickups. Although I didn't check for extreme temps, will probably add a separate stinger on the transom instead. Also added additional flotation. Home water pipe insulation is perfect to run over tops of the batteries, front to back. Keeps boat level if it flips over instead of bow-up attitude that will soak the batteries and servo. Also, glue foam to the hatch to make it buoyant in case it comes separated.

hello, acquired this excellent machine very fast catamaran and good finishes top cover exceptola enters the water but solvable, the batteries I have with 4000mha 2s, hopefully have more spare parts for varidad, as this is subject to greater risk in water as for example, prop, backbone flexibility, and variety of accessories so that it can maintain over time.

Greetings ..

Following up previous review...test of 10 min; air temp 25.6 C (78 F); water temp 26.3 C ( 79.3 F). BEC disabled. Rx bat used instead. Does not seem to help to decrease ESC temp. Some ballast added at transon to lift the bow. Servo replaced. All rest stock. Final temps: batteries 59,5 C (139 F); Motor 60 C (140 F); ESC 59 C ( 138.2 F). So far the ESC is OK.

Received well packed and in good order about 1 month ago.
Made some changes before first test:
1- Dressed the motor mounting with fiberglass cloth and epoxi. ( I didn't note any flex or cracks as some reported, but decided to be in the safe side);
2- Changed the cooling tube to a X-Large one (5/32" i.d.) made by Sullivan bought through TH, as per advice of Frank (watch video). Kept the length of tube the shortest possible;
3- Made a second hole as a water intake in the rudder at port side (my boat had an inlet just at starboard).

Test 1:
Air temperature 25.5C(78F); water temp: 23.6c(74.5F).
Batteries in stock position and prop also in stock position. Pretty fast, but really seems that hull is too wet. Better to move batteries back about 2.5cm (1 ") backwards.
After 5 minutes testing : temp of ESC 39C (102.2F) and motor 45C (113F).
Just a few drops of water inside. Nothing serious.
Next changes in order to decrease temps : I'll disable BEC of ESC and use an UBEC (Turnigy 5A) and install an independent water intake and outlet just for the motor.
Definitely buy. Excellent quality for the money. I'm having a lot of fun.

Great boat, I ran it with 2 Turnigy 4,000 mAh 2 cell 40-50c batteries. I also performed the recommended modifications suggested by the HK review video. This boat rips! after 15 minutes of high speed passes the ESC was cold to the touch and the motor was warm. I think the larger cooling water hoses are key. The best part is the GIANT rooster tails raining down after the boat has passed by.
