Excellent plane
Airframe:
it's extremely stable, especially at slow speeds... Hinges may begin to separate and will require being squeezed back together... Hinges will also begin to pull out and require being glued back in.... Wingtip missiles break very easily

Landing gear system:
Retracts and closing doors are great but only semireliable, the doors use springs to pushthem open, and the gear itself pulls the doors shut. A hard landing maybreak onegear section off.. Re-glue and it won't happen again. Retract unit usually requiresflipping the switch back and forth a few times before the nose gear will cycle... Onceit cycles, it consistently will... Same with canopy... They failed to put lithium grease inside the orbital gears and travel is pre-programmed slightly too far causing them to get stuck up between weekend flights.

Electronics:
elevator servos are being pushed hard at times, recommend adding a sleeve of CFrod over the elevator control rods to at least strengthen there... Fan was severely off balance and may have been the contributor to my flight times being about 60pcnt of others with same setup... Causing esc to LVC resulting in deadstick landings to close call landings while down throttling to get the esc to turn back on

Ok, so having purchased this aircraft, I have to say that im impressed, It is of good quality and the people who have put the plane together have spent some time on building it properly.
There are a few issues that need mentioning, firstly the undercarriage, although its very nicely designed it does take to long to cycle (15secs avg.) and it isnt very strong, mine broke on a landing where a stone on the runway jolted one of the rear wheels and broke an upright, not a massive issue I know but it looks like they're molded from cheap plastic, what I did to repair it was drill down the middle of the legs and insert a 4mm carbon rod to reinforce them. This works well.
The other problem was the EDF, maybe I was unlucky but mine needed balancing as it was miles out of true but to get into the fan was tricky, that said, once it was balanced and mated to a zippy 2650 4s lipo I tested its output, over 1300gms of thrust! my T-50 all-up weighs 1152gms.

I bought that one and arrived July 11. Easy to assemble. To strengthen the grooves put tape over all joints of the wing and elevator. Everything has become more resilient. The landing gear works perfect is beautiful, but is brittle. The main shaft that fix the wheel, broke in the first race .. it did not takeoff and the wing dragged on the ground. Repaired by placing a pin, made two flights of 3 min each and the T-50 is very stable and good to flying. After the second landing, the shaft broken again. Not yet flown with the landing gear retracted. Soon I will report back again with a flight review. 5 stars. Overall a excellent product. I recommend buying the HobbyKing because they have all parts for replacement

1 word, WOW! Not only does the T-50 RoKaf look sharp, it handles like it's on rails. And thats without doing a lot of programming in the remote.
It arrived solid, unbroken and quick! If you are used to building EDF Foam ARF jets, this one will be a breeze! I didnt even have to adjust the servos, they were already centered upon power up. I recommend using 15 minute or so Epoxy to put the plane together with.
It took me less than an hour to build. One quick tip on the rudder wire. when you feed it through the vertical stab, first insert a receiver wire tube to help guide the wire, otherwise the wire will grab foam as you try to insert it. Also, attach the control horns to the ailerons, elevator and rudder first to make it easier later.

Performance: I recommend the Nano-Tech 4cell 2200mah 45~90c Lipo in it. I made 2 different flights, one with 45-90c lipo and one with 30c lipo. There was about 10mph difference in speed.

Retracts: Very Cool! Leave yourself about 20 seconds for full deployment. Very Scale and I personally love how slow they go.
Canopy: Doesnt serve a purpose other than just being Plain COOL!

I give this EDF a 5 star rating all the way around. I found nothing I could be negative about. I have posted a video of the maiden flight and you can see for yourself just how cool this EDF jet is! And for the price HobbyKing has it for, it's hard to beat for everyth

This is my first electric plane and I took it for its first flight today - Awesome! - just heaps of fun. I taxied out, lined up, took off, trimmed, put the gear up and then pretty much stayed at full throttle for the entire flight. Loops, aileron rolls, vertical rolls - super - I had heaps of power. I used the Turnigy 2200 mAh 4s1p 20c lipo. Engine faded just shy of 4 minutes and I'd just put the gear down(no chance to put it back up - it takes 15 seconds to cycle). I glided it to the runway, it was easy to land, but I just over ran the far end. Nose gear damaged but shouldn't be hard to fix. Can't wait to fly it again!
