Tamiya Manta Ray 1/10th Scale Off Road 4WD Electric Buggy Kit (Limited Edition)

Inspired by those amazing creatures of the sea,the re-release of the Manta Ray is now here! This R/C car made a name for itself when it was released in 1990 for being popular as both a beginner level off-road buggy and an easily upgradeable car for veteran drivers. The body was inspired by the sleek curved shape of the Manta Ray and is made from lightweight polycarbonate. Downforce provided by the large wing combines with the all-terrain spike tires mounted on dish wheels to provide excellent handling on any surface.

All of the heavy components such as battery and R/C mechanisms are mounted in the center of the honeycomb bathtub frame for optimum balance. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension equipped with CVA oil dampers makes for stable running in off-road conditions. The shaft driven 4WD drivetrain features front and rear sealed gearboxes with internal diff. gear units for smooth cornering, and the gearbox itself features a quick-access hatch for convenient and hassle free maintenance.

The included Tamiya TBLE-02S speed controller is capable of running sensor based brushless or brushed motors and a powerful RS540 brushed motor is supplied with the kit. The Manta Ray requires assembly, a comprehensive instruction booklet is supplied with step by step illustrated instructions.
