Perfect motor for the Hobby Zone SuperCub brushless upgrade. Fits right in with the aluminium motor mount (sold separately from another vendor:http://www.headsuprc.com/servlet/the-1669/Motor-Mount-for-HZ/Detail).

APC 11x7 ~375W

APC 11x5 ~300 (better for long life)

Bearings a non issue, very quiet motor so far.

Got this motor to mount it on the Eaglewing as pusher. I use a 9x4.5 APC electric prop and on 3S it will use about 21 Amps (250W).
As mentioned by other users, the bearings are noisy and I noticed an fair amount of play, which I think will cause failure in the future. Regret not to have bought the TG 3536 which I use on the Maxi Swift. It is a little heavier but has no play and bearing runs smooth.

I was happy with it at first, but like some of the other reviewers, I've had a bearing failure. I've been running 2 of them on a twin with a 3S3600 battery and 11.5x6 props. I've been running them at less than 200W per motor (peak), and after about an hour of total run time over several flights, one of them has started to fail.

I have got this motor looks great but i may have a problem with a 7x4 prop a 2200 3s lipo and a 60amp esc I only seem to be drawing 16amp max on my turnigy wat meter a 7x5 prop gives me 19amp I dont have a superbrain metor to give me the rpm. but seems to not be giving me the full thrust that a motor this size should anyone got an idea why the low amp's

Great motor, using it in a BH Models Suikoi 31 with a 10x4.7 prop, nearly unlimited vertical climb, sustained flat horizontal rolls at just 2/3rds throttle, using 3S 2600mAh 25C LiPO. Warm but not hot after a 10 minute routine. I have doubts about the stated max watts, more like 325W.

I'd buy more without hesitations.

TGY AerodriveXp SK Series 35-30 1100Kv / 345w

Static tests:
Battery: Rhino, 3S1P, 3.7A
ESC: HK, BlueSeries, 40A
Logger: Eagle Three eLogger
Termometer: Turnigy (measured the can temperature at the test's end)
Io = 1.4A (more than 2 times higher than the advertised 0.6A, not good)
APC like (HK) 11x5,5 - 24.7A, 11.88V, 276.8W ((24.7 - 1.4) * 11.88), 48 degrees C
Master Airscrew electric 11x6 - 30.2A, 11.82V, 340.4W ((30.2 - 1.4) * 11.82), 59 degrees C

About the bearings: at least the bigger one (12x4x4) was noisy. I just oiled it with car's engine oil and turned it over in it's location on the motor and the noise was gone.

Very good motor:

1) with the Rhino battery fully charged and running static at 50 throttle stick and 11x5.5 prop, it runs for 30 minutes. ESC programmed to cut at 3.2V and AUTO timing.
2) with the Rhino battery fully charged and running static at 50 throttle stick and 11x5.5 prop, it runs for 32 minutes. ESC programmed to cut at 3.2V and HIGH timing.

It is almost 9 more efficient, at 50 throttle, running at HIGH timing than running at AUTO timing with this ESC.

I have purchased Qty 6 of these motors and had catastrophic failures on Qty 3 of them.... thi is, to me an unacceptable failure rate and I recommend buys exercise extreme caution by thoroughly bench testing before mounting on your airframe and again before first flight.

Two major failure modes were:

1. Faulty magnet placement/security on 1 unit resulting in, sadly, a total and unannounced failure in flight on a twin which lost me an airplane :(,

2. Shorted winding which resulted in catasrophic electrical failure (burn-out) at revs during pre-flight run-up, after significant bench testing, on an airframe. No airplane damage, just let all of the smoke out of the motor :|,

3. Intermittent open winding, at speed, during pre-flight set-up, after bench testing, on an airframe. No collateral damage, thuis time :).

I have had one of these on an airplane for two years, running on a 4S lipo. It sailed through all the testing and hasn't caused me any trouble.

A sucker for punishment, I have another airframe in pre-flight test which is looking promising.

I have used other Turnigy motors and haven't any complaints.

Take care and good luck!

Love this motor.

Installed in a Skywalker 168 epp Special and it flies just right for my kind of flying.
