My Trackstar 150A GenII ESC just died (stopped working and I can´t turn it on anymore) - It did´nt even last 30min. of overall use. It made squeaky noises which I thought was normal (getting back into the hobby again after 7 years).

I had it running on a 6SLiPo pack with a Turnigy SK3 280KV motor. So, I´m a bit confused since the specs says suggest that it can work with a 6S LiPo and a motor under 2400 KV. I was well within the ESC´s capabilities (or so I thought). Did I confuse anything or was my ESC just crap?

Anyway - at this point I´m just very much disappointed. I touched the ESC to see if it was overheated but the heatsink was rather cool so I´m not sure what went wrong. Either way, I can´t recommend this ESC. It´s a shame because I liked the programming capability via PC.

Move on and look for another ESC.

WELL, FINALLY AFTER 2 MONTHS I GET MY ARRMA TYPHON UP & RUNNING AGAIN, THE STOCK SERVO & SPEED CONTROLLER JUST STOPPED WORKING. SO I PURCHASED THIS (TrackStar 150A GenII) AFTER HEARING GOOD THINGS ABOUT IT.
I TOOK IT TO THE PARK TO TEST IT OUT AND IT STARTED OUT GREAT, I MEAN SPEED, POWER, TIMING, AND EVEN THE TURBO WERE ALL PRECISE, JUST AS I HAD SET THEM WITH MY PROGRAM CARD. THEN I TOOK IT FOR A JUMP TO TEST MY SUSPENSION AND THAT WAS IT. IT LANDED AND NEVER TOOK OFF AGAIN. I ASSUMED SOMETHING WAS DISCONNECTED BUT I COULD STILL HEAR THE FAN RUNNING AND THE LED WAS STILL ON. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? AFTER ALL THIS TIME THAT'S IT? NOT EVEN 10 MINUTES RUN TIME. WHEN I DISCONNECTED AND REMOVED IT FROM THE CHASSIS, I COULD HEAR SOMETHING OR SOME THINGS RATTLING AROUND INSIDE. DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS SHAKING AROUND INSIDE BUT THE THING STILL SMELLS BRAND SPANKIN NEW. I'M NOT HERE TO BASH TRACKSTAR OR HOBBYKING BUT AS FAR AS I CAN SEE I DID NOTHING WRONG TO THIS UNIT AND FEEL LIKE I DESERVE AN EXCHANGE FOR THIS ITEM.
I WASN'T DOING ANY HARDCORE BASHING I WAS TESTING IT OUT. ONLY WEN'T ABOUT 3 FT. HIGH AT ABOUT 20 - 22 MILES P/HOUR AND LANDED UPRIGHT. THIS JUST DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME. I WAS ON MY WAY TO BECOMING A PLATINUM CUSTOMER. IF ANY ONE AT HOBBYKING READS THIS, IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO EXCHANGE THIS FOR ANOTHER ONE?

After on year and 4 month, my esc just blowed up!
I've just run my savage "8 times" in one year.
The last run , i was just climbing a small rock at very low speed (crawling mode) when i saw a lot of smoke coming out from my savage.
How it could be possible to burn an esc when the thermal protection is set @ 85°c on the esc and the motor? I oppened the esc and when i saw a lot of tin soleder on the pcb i was afraid.
Unluckly, after a good cleanning, 5 chip from the esc are dead and the warranty is out!

I'm not sure to buy any item with the logo turnigy on it before a long time......

A powerful reliable well engineered ESC. Easily tuned with the programming card or via a Pc connection. Add this to one of the HobbyKIng Turnigy sensored brushless motors and you will be enjoying smooth controlled power all day long .. Highly recommended through My many hours of fast racing fun

@ $77 this ESC is worth every penny and then some. Got my 1/8 buggy (all stock RTR) going from 30mph to 40mph using the same batteries as before. Just buy it...and the programming card because without it you can't program via PC either. HK doesn't stock the USB connector so you MUST buy the programming card to connect to PC.

i bought this esc since it has a lot of positive review, but my esc stop working while i only had a few round with my buggy, it's really huge disappointment. anyone had this problems or i had a bad batch of esc.
