Great upgrade Motor for Durafly 70mm EDF's. Need 3.17mm Adapter. Stock Durafly is 4mm shaft size. I used a short piece of 4mm brass tubing. Works perfect.

Good on 4S ... but don't try 5S .. I burnt out 2 of these trying 5S ... I gave first benefit of doubt assumed it was a faulty one ... second one lasted less than a minute same as first.

Best for these ? 3S on a pusher with 4.5 x 4.5 ... as an EDF motor - they suck !

No back plate screws and the ones recommended by HK did not work because the motor holes were not drilled straight. I will keep them though because the return process is just too arduous. They will go in the bag with the other none working stuff. It is a good thing they were on &18 each.

An update to what I wrote in a previous post. On the test stand I got 57 amps on 4S at 14.4 volts (820 watts) using the stock 70mm shroud and 5-blade fan that comes with the Starmax F-5. With this set-up thrust was 1000grams or o.82 watts per gram of thrust. - Not bad for a $17 dollar upgrade. Thrust with stock motor is around 800-850 grams on 4S. It was cheaper to upgrade the motor than replace all my batteries with 5S.
Be careful though with heat. After a couple back to back of runs at full throttle on 4S 2250mah high-C Nanotech batteries the motor got hot enough that the motor mount in the plastic Starmax shroud got soft and began to melt resulting in a fan scrape on the shroud and a loss of power. But if you give this motor a little breathing space now and then to cool, it will run like a truck.
