Have been running this Motor in an Align 700 for about a year now. . So far it has been doing great. . Im very happy with it. . So much so I bought a 500 size SK3. . Only that one turned out to be a p.o.s - - The main shaft broke on motor maiden. . . . So SK3's seem to be a grab bag.

TERRIBLE MOTOR! Installed on a Assault 700 and lasted 3 months, then blew out my YEP120 esc from an internal short, I didn't realize it was the motor (thought it was a bad ESC) so I bought a yep 180a esc and blew it out too! $400 in ESC's down the drain with this POS! AVOID!

TERRIBLE MOTOR! Installed on a Assault 700 and lasted 3 months, then blew out my YEP120 esc from an internal short, I didn't realize it was the motor (thought it was a bad ESC) so I bought a yep 180a esc and blew it out too! $400 in ESC's down the drain with this POS! AVOID!

I have that Engine in a 1.7m 4 blade 10kg scale Heli with YGE120HV ESC. She runs like a kitten, very good softstart and on hover draws around 30 amps. I converted now 3 benzin helis to electric with this engine without any regret.

put this guy in a trex 600 flybarless. does the job ok but absolutely no oomph. I can grab the main gear and give a spin and the motor turns pretty easy, magnets are weak and it's just a year old. cannot do that with my the scorpion on my other heli, going on 3 years old. that's the only prob I have with the motor

put this guy in a trex 600 flybarless. does the job ok but absolutely no oomph. I can grab the main gear and give a spin and the motor turns pretty easy, magnets are weak and it's just a year old. cannot do that with my the scorpion on my other heli, going on 3 years old. that's the only prob I have with the motor

Finally after few hundreds of flights motor broke in flight. Upper bearing failed. Magnets were dammaged. I succeded to land my 700 safely in autorotation. Now I am going to use SK3 480kV. Still cheaper than Scorpion...

Probably this failure was caused by spring on the shaft going off the shaft. Lower part of the motor separted from the main part. Due to magnets broken by stator motor is not repairable.

Hi! This is one bad-A nice motor I have it on a chaos 700. Its made real good. Can not beat the value for money! I will buy the 480KV for my trex 800E

After 300 flights motor and bearings like new... More power than I need, with 2 x 4000 Ah 20c lipos my 700 flies like rocket... This motor is awsome. I have ordered second one to build another 700. I did not crash this heli. Check "for me align wins" thread on Helifreak.
