I have used these now multiple times for lighting up R/C aircraft.
They are super easy to use. Easy to get the length just to the size you need. When run at 12V these are medium brightness, not super bright, but plenty bright enough to see at dusk or at night. Have two flying wings with these LED's embedded inside the wings. They look spectacular.

This is brilliant, lightweight, easy to cut to length and solder, bright, light and has sticky back tape! I'm now basically attaching these to everything.

These red led strips are older ad are spaced closer but they are not as bright as the newer LED strips. They are pretty good for night flying but not that effective for daytime orientation lighting.
