Excellent little speed controller, pretty good motor.
I've got it in a HPI Blitz 2WD and it goes great with the right gearing.
Motor and speed controller don't get hot and the electronics are waterproofed really well.
I would like to see the speed controller paired with a motor without any large openings as it can get mud inside the motor when installed in a 2WD chassis behind the rear wheels. Hobbyking used to sell a nice little blue 3900kV motor that was fully sealed and could be opened up to clean out gunk. I've put this motor on instead and find it much better for mud.
I also think it should come stock with timing set to medium not high, as it experiences a lot of cogging with the default settings.

I just wanted cheap power for a basher. I'm running a DT-03 on a 2s 3300mAh lipo with a lipo alarm. It's perfect for what I needed. Minimal setup, pretty much plug and play. Be sure to set the failsafe correctly (I didn't and it got away...). I would recommend this quite happily. I get over 30mph out of the DT03 on grass. It's just excellent value for money.

thes combo is really good and crazy the motor and the esc is really good only that the motor is 2 pole i wish it was 4 pole for my 4wd rc and when i say before that its crazy i main the speed that i get when i put on 3s lipo i get a lot of speed out of it the motor is 540 size fits tamiya cc01 no problem but you have to lower it first or it will filp over and over so all i can say is good work hobbyking

Combo Brushless di buona qualit adatto a short corse o off/road buone prestazioni generali e buon rapporto qualit prezzo, unica pecca forse il motore riscalda un po' troppo ma se fatto riposare almeno 5 minuti tra una scarica e l'altra non da comunque nessun problema di sorta, consigliato.

Great combo for the price. That cooling fan on the ESC really does it's job. After some very high speed runs the ESC remains luke warm. The motor on the other hand, I feel like could do with a heat sink and/or fan. It get pretty hot. Advertised as water proof, but I have yet to test that. It will see a lot of abuse in the winter time. Anyways, very nicely designed, water proof on/off switch and BEC included. Very nice quality parts.
