Bad quality kit, but excellent plane.
Build quality is sub-par: pushrods do not fit, propeller is a two blade type, but hub cap is for a three blade prop, molds are obviously worn out, but it is still possible to build it... Not an easy build, though.
On the other hand it flies excellent, you can exchange wheels for floats in no time.
Love to fly this thing!
One last remark: is you plan to fly this as a Waterplane, get a 3s-battery!
It can take off from water on 2s, but it will take a long time and is hard work...

This plane is horrible the motor is extremely underpowered for the size and the prop is very bent the tail was very flimsy also. The plane came with missing parts and the ones that did arrive didn't fit properly. Hobbyking you can do so much better than this.

Qualit gnrale mdiocre. Les autocollants sont inutilisables. Le servo d'aile est HS la sortie de boite. L'hlice livre est une bipale alors que le cne est prvu pour une tripale, conformment la photo. Il manque une chape pour la commande de profondeur. Il manque une rondelle d'arrt pour les flotteurs. Pas de notice papier.
Quand je voie les vidos sur le net, a a pourtant l'air d'un bon appareil. Je vais donc me dbrouiller pour le monter et le tester en vol. De plus, aucunes ractions d'Hobbyking suite mes rclamations. Trs du sur cette commande car d'habitude Hobbyking ragit bien.

A very cool and relaxing plane, but after some modifications. better think it's an artf!
First change the bad combo motor and esc: i've put a emax 2228 1200kv motor, turnigy 20a esc on a custom motor mount, -4 pitch for motor. I fly on 3s 1000 or 1300 mah with 10x4.7 sf prop. The frame is good, but with mods to; first i reinforced wings on the linking (glued 25 cm carbone rod on the middle, prevent breaking in high wing load), motor hub with checkered tape and made a "box" with depron very front of the fuselage for the battery compartiment, the cg is perfect with zippy 3s 1000 25c and it can fly 12 minutes(dont trust the manual, cg is wrong, too tail heavy!!!). I ripped off the original wheel for thin 55mm lightweight wkheels, much better to take off from grass. (see my pics for this mods)
I find the setup very good, the plane is light ad balanced, very maneuvrable, climb vertically. very relaxing plane with scale speed and floats give something more. I flew 40 hours with this set up and originals servo without drama. i will buy a new frame, if an accident should hapen...

I received this kit and was in 2 minds if I should send it back. It wasn't packed well there is alot of dents and cuts. Then I found the wings didn't line up the channel for the wing support was glued out of true which ment I had to cut and reglue it to fit. The engine mount wasn't evern glued ,it was floating around, cowling had to be unglued to get to it. The control rods were all the wrong size and we're floating around the box. These could have caused the damage. I got a 2 blade prop instead of the 3 blade and a spinner for 3.
HK this one is NOT a PNF it's a rebuildifferent. Quality control failed on this one.
I haven't had the chance to fly it . Sorry HK.

So impressed with this plane, really stable in the air and a breeze to fly on the water too. Watch the cg as 3s battery needs to be pushed slightly forward or she's tail heavy. I also put hinges on the ailerons as they're really long so tended to twist. Oh and I changed to 3s esc and battery. I'd really recommend this to anyone as an easy as flyer and fun water plane. Great value.

Just received the plane. Suplied with two bladed propeller instead of three (spinner is for 3 blades), missing linkage for ailerons, not glued engine mount. Hobbyking, please check your quality control or you will loose buyer..........

I received my Wilga today. It was well packed and in the box the plane looked alright. But when I took a closer look I saw the tail was made out of an awfull kind of foam (which is also used in fastfood boxes). The motor and ESC are okay, but those could've been better. The wings could've been better too, they don't fit together that great. The servo's look fine, they react fast and are really quiet. The fuselage and the floats look just fine. I'll soon do a flight test to see if it actualy works.
