Will Not Re-program ESC

I've only just got around to re-programming my ESC and seem to have the same problems as other reviewers in that the Program Card, whilst showing the parameters and their values, is incapable of changing the settings in the ESC. I've also downloaded the HK PC software to reprogram the ESC via my laptop, but the software application will not download correctly and is corrupt; this leaves me unable to reprogram the ESC. I note that other reviewers have downloaded alternative firmware to fix the problem. Unfortunately, I do not know how to do this, so I'm stumped. Can anyone help/am unable to do this

As everyone else says, replace the Firmware!

You'd expect the HobbyKing X-Car Beast Series programming card to work with the HobbyKing X-Car Beast Series ESC out of the box, right? Well, as everyone here says, no, you can't.
It took me a long time to get the Gecko firmware to install properly, but eventually I did, and after that it works with my ESC fine. But for it not working right out of the box I have to give it a 3 crown rating. Way too much messing around to get it working, if I had read the reviews better before purchasing I would've just not bothered and stuck with programming my ESC through the beeps!

Had to replace firmware

Doesn't work you of the box. Had to replace the firmware with Gecko firmware and not it works great with my X-Car ESC.

Can't use the programmer as standalone with the X-car Beast 150A.
I can reed the settings ( wich is different when using pc program) but cannot change it.
The esc only seems to be programmable thru usb and pc software, unfortunately these are only basic settings.
Is there a software update? For the programmer or the esc?

Finally I can program my 120A X Car Beast Pro esc, really easy to use great quality exactly like my Hobbywing one.
