If you buy this shell purely to put LEDs (just like me), then don't get this one. While it's advertised as having light buckets for LED installation, the head light and tail light areas of the shell are painted over. They weren't masked over when they applied the carbon fibre pattern.

In addition, the light buckets do not fit the shell perfectly. Some gaps were as large as 5-8mm.

HobbyKing should update their description of this shell, and do not advertise it for LED lights application. Or advertise it stating the head/tail light areas are painted over.

Use Nail polish removal liquid to remove paint. Take cotton and wet it using it, and then start rubbing where you want to remove the paint. First check this in your spare cutting edge then try.

Just got mine. Unfortunately it looks like if you want to use the light buckets, you need to cut out the body as the lights are printed on and not left clear. This is going to look funny as there will be no lenses on the light. Is there a way to get the print off without damaging the cover, it looks quite permanent. Looks like it is the stickers only and no lights, I will try and scrath it off on an off cut and see how that goes, not holding my breath :(

Very nice quality! Lightbuckets, mirrors, wings and windscreen wipers are inclusice. What I dislike is, that its very difficult to remove paint from the windows and the lights. Very much small scratches. Maybe I cut them out of the shell and rebuild them.

I got mine today and I must say the quality is very good. The thickness of the lexan is over my expectation. The only thing I didnt like are that the painting are covering the front/tail light and the windows. I hope that HK will make in the future bodies that is NOT pre painted.
