I put one in my barbwire 17. I am running a 38 mm prop and the boat hauls ass! On 4s lipo I cant even give it full throttle unless water is flat and I ease into it. Boat probably hits 40 mph on 1300 4 s lipo. Have had no issues for over 20 runs. 30 amp esc rated for 4s will blow. This 40 amp esc works great. Incredible upgrade for barbwire 17. I have ran over 20 4s batteries with no problems until I sank the boat from the top coming off, the one time I ran it with no tape. So i ordered another one. Not waterproof

I bought this to install in a competition mini-mono, unfortunately it "drops out" when the steering servo is operated & you cant program it, this may be ok in a semi-scale speed boat and it is a great price, but compete with this? no chance!

It's a good ESC (really strong if you add epoxy glue on it).
Extremelly hard to programming (no cards)

Says its programmable for the timing but no manual or any info is provided on how to set that. It should be stated or provided.
