Used this for an alternative to the required front gear on the 3dlabs F86 Sabre. Fits just fine. So you don't have to buy the $40 set of gear for just the one front leg.

For the price this item is a bargain. I am using it as a nosewheel.
Well engineered using generally good quality materials. It is self assembly and no instructions are included, but anyone with a modicum of common sense will get the components together in a jiffy. The treaded 55mm foam wheel is superlight with a tyre width of 15mm and a hub width of just over 16mm for a 3mm axle. On tarmac the foam might wear quite quickly. The supplied spring has just the right tension. My only criticism is the quality of the E-clips. They are rather brittle and two snapped whilst getting them into place.
It really adds a touch of 'sophistication' to the model appearance whilst being entirely practical.
Highly recommended...

Il carrello è ben fatto a parte la molla che è estremamente soffice. Già con un carico di 1500gr va a fondo corsa. Un modello di 3Kg, all'atterraggio carica 6-9Kg. Ho dovuto sostituire la molla con una molto più robusta

Good item, for planes less than 1500gr of weight

The item is well made and nice. I bought for my plane that is 3kg but the leg is too weak. The spring and the wheel are not good for a plane of 3kg. I've tried pushing the leg over a weight scale and with 1500gr the knee of the landing gear touches the floor.
You must do only very gentle landings. My suggestion to Hobbyking is to replace the spring with a more solid one.

For the price, everything is an A+. Since these are not ARF parts, the effort it takes to get these to work and fit your specific model is what makes this a "hobby".
We have all sat down to work on a plane or car and maybe a boat, thinking oh I will just change this out real quick, and one hour later still trying to remove or add the same little set screw or bracket or something. :-) I think the RTF models have spoiled us a bit, that is until you need to fix or upgrade something on them ;-)
