Leider vermittelt das Modell nur auf den ersten Blick Perfektion. Bedauerlicherweise denke ich aber handelt es sich um das hier versande Modell um reine B Ware.
Dieses Modell ist seit dem Kauf erst 5 Minuten in der Luft gewesen und es mussten bereits aus Sicherheitsgründe sämtliche Servos ausgetauscht werden . Zwei fielen direkt im flug aus so dass das Modell nur mit Beschädigungen gelandet werden konnte. Auch Anlenckungen , Gestänge usw weiter mussten Zeitaufwendig Nachgearbeit werden. Da man aus bekannten Gründen bei solchen Dingen auf taube Ohren stößt bei diversen Händlern ist es überflüssig auf Ersatz oder Austausch zu hoffen......leider

Great looking scale flying boat

I have been keeping an eye out for this to be back in stock for awhile. once back in stock I pounced on one as soon as I could. HK's shipping was fast and well packed with the model arriving without any damage although the outer box was a bit tore up. now the bad news. No instructions were provided so I had to download them. the hardware provided with the kit if of medium to poor quality and screws and fasteners were easy to strip upon installation (wing install specifically) and the hardware used to install the vertical fin and rudder REALLY left something to be desired. in short I ended up substituting most of it. electronics were easy to set up and program to. I have not yet had the chance to fly it yet due to my busy work schedule. for the most part a good deal and compares pretty good to the Avios C-130 I acquired a while ago. Looking forward to flying it this summer at the lake when we go camping!

Good plane after some minor modifications
Quite a bulky thing. I do fly a Catalina as well with 147cm wingspan, so only slightly smaller but has 1kg less ToW.
However the fuselage is tiny in comparison to the Albatros.
Gives some potential for future upgrades, e.g. a water bomber.
Not too much splash and no water inside at all even on rougher conditions.
However capsizing it would probably sink the ESCs.
The weight stated (2300g) is without batteries.
The modifications I did and recommend :
+ replace the "steel bars" for the wing tip attachments with carbon - > spares 50g
+ remove the water rudder I use differential thrust instead, switchable. (Y-cable to be replaced with separate cable) You loose some directional stability on the water but you loose weight, get a better picture from the side and less huzzle on the ground
+ Reinforce elevator control. the one servo is not strong enough, it does not return to position properly. I used the servo of the dismantled water rudder for the one half elevator, so there are two servos, one for each of the two elevetor control surfaces.
+ CoG is to be further forward than recommended, about 70mm (Top of "RESCUE" letters when turned over)
+ I run it with 3S. Enough power for take off on grass and scale flight
ToW is 2500g. Max thrust on ground is 3700g.
Overall: recommended, would buy it again

the Albatros looks good, flies very good and the price is very good. I had only little difficulties with a wing spar. But some minutes work, all is perfect.

Tail rudder doesn't work. Don't need it though with the water rudder and the differential thrust. Had a heck of a time getting the wing bolts to engage. Had to hone out the hole slightly to get the screws to engage.

The Avios Albatross flies very well, CG at 65-70 best !
