Love this truck

Really love this truck. Super durable, fast (ridiculously on 4S), torquey (humongous on 2S), versatile can run 2S, 3S, 4S. Brushless, full bearings, slipper clutch, full double-wishbones. Everything I need in a truck. Smaller 1/16 which means can run everywhere no need of big space for a 1/8. Despite 1/16 it still comes with the good HK's GT2E remote which has really good range. Even with the antenna lying flat inside the truck I cannot get it to run out of range it gets ridiculously far I can't even see the truck's orientation (100m+). With my simple $2 front sway mod it handles like a dream on pavement no rolling over despite the tall-ride stadium truck platform. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_kDi6BGzL0

This is the most cost-effective mini basher you can get for the price. Not so flimsy than other toy-grade chinese R/C cars in this price cattegory - In fact it is already entry-level hobby grade IMHO.
I am seriously considering getting a second (ARR) model just for spare parts...

This is the most cost -effective basher you can get... real 4WD, not so flimsy than other chinese toy-grade car in this price category... I fact it is entry-level hobby grade with an excellent price.
I bought this car for my 7/9 year old kids (and, of course, myself)
I am seriously considering getting a second (ARR) model just for spare parts...

Fun but Fragile

I must say, this car is great fun. But as another reviewer said, make sure you have the spare parts, and the time and motivation to fiddle and fix. I bought this car for my 10/11 year old kids (and, of course, myself) and so far we drove 5-6 times after which we came back 4-5 times with a broken car. The first time a wheel came off and the little fixation pin was lost (repaired it with a nail), then the suspension on a wheel broke, and finally the shock absorber (twice). Except for the last time I was able to fix everything with some glue and wire, but it takes a bit of the fun out of the driving itself. Ordering spare parts every time takes time and (in my case) costs shipping. I am seriously considering getting a second (ARR) model just for spare parts...
But again, the car is a lot of fun and for the price I find it quite OK. I don't think you can expect something super-solid, and since everything can be replaced and/or fixed, accidents are not dramatic.

Make sure you get some extra parts when you order this. The first time I ever drove it, it busted a shock and the oil leaked out. The next time I drove it, it did not even make it through the 2nd set of batteries before the 30T spur gear was completely a stripped. Looks like they need a version 3.0 with a metal spur gear and aluminum shocks. It is fun as long as you have a box full of spare parts.
