    The ISDT BG-8S Smart Battery Checker is a new style of multipurpose battery checker. It is specifically designed for hobbyists of Remote Control products. It comes with lots of great features to help check your batteries, and receiver signals and even has a USB output that allows you to charge your phone or other devices. The Battery Checker has a 2.4” 320x240 display that can easily be seen in sunlight and has an easy-to-use menu system to show all functions and data.

    There is an advanced balancing algorithm to ensure every cell is well-balanced. Most battery types are supported such as LiHv, LiPo, Lilon, LiFe, NiMh/Cd as well as checking your BEC output.

    If you want to charge up your USB devices (phones, tablets, etc) you only have to connect a battery to the XT-60 and the BG-8S can become your power bank for mobile devices.

    The BG-8S also tests receiver signals and currently supports multiple protocol analyses including PWM, PPM, and S.BUS with more to come.

    Inexpensive, simple, effective.

    This little battery checker is very nice. It's much more convenient than using the older style of battery checkers, especially when checking a dozen batteries in a row. It turns on quickly every time and gives accurate readings.
    My only complains come from it's inability to USB charge normal batteries, and that the receiver test option seems to be an accident, given the lack of JR 3 pin plugs anywhere on the unit.
    Highly recommend anyway, it's a very fun little tool wether you're field-checking voltages or doing battery checks at home.

    The calibration was poor of the indicated voltage for each cell. It generally showed a lower voltage for each cell as you went down the list, making it hard to see if you had a good battery or not.
    It was checked against a constant voltage on each cell one at a time, and they all showed different charge levels and voltage for the same applied voltage.
    I do not find it of much use.
