Value for money but prepare to replace some components

I have assembled the simple metal lathe and it works fine... There is a catch though and it is varying quality of the parts. First of all I'm using a lab power supply to control the rpm. This helps a lot, compared to the 12 V only operation. Then, most of the parts in the kit are very good to OK quality and do what you would expect. Unfortunately some parts are not that good. In my kit the large pulley was wobbling badly since the axle hole had been drilled about 0.2 mm off center. This was fixable but the biggest issue is the three jaw chuck that does not center correctly at all. I disassembled the thing and found that the spiral grooves that move the jaws have been machined badly off center. As result, the chuck is practically useless and must be replaced with a better quality one. I would still buy this tool if you are not afraid of doing some research and acquire some parts elsewhere.

A supernice LEGO. I'm sorry I cannot find a store with more optional parts. Building it is better than using it. I'm thinking to buy another one just to build something else. :)

It can be used. Unfortunately to build all eight machineries you need a few optional parts. All four machineries in the pictures above can be built, but not all eight.

1. Very fast delivery.
2. Very poor Post packing. There is not protection. I got a box with a broken plastic side. Inside the plastic box, all the details were miraculously found without damage.
3. There is no List of quantity of parts in the kit.
4. There are no bolts (ZS26) M4x12 in the kit.
5. Flywheels for manual feed have a very large axial play backlash (they must be finalized before use).
The overall assessment of the quality of the components of this set is - satisfactory.
However, if a person has hands, brains and extra money, then this set can be brought to an excellent condition.
I recommend only to those who agree to design and improve this set.

That this is not a machine tool with a solid cast iron frame, probably each will be clear. But some points discussed here I can not understand. I have a test basis, because I just needed a board of an output plug of a server's power supply partially milled away and went quite well. So I would as also a firewall for a brushless motor milling it. Since it is a DC motor, I'm going to test a Brush controller (plane) as a speed controller.

The disadvantage I feel that HobbyKing has no additional accessories in the program. I found at AliIExpress a wide selection. There unfortunately is no happily accept paypal.

All in all, an enrichment of my tool inventory for the hobby.

Will send this machine kit back, it is useless. The three-jaw-chuck and the collet chucks are running untrue, and the three-jaw-chuck jammed completely after i tried to remove the chucks. The quality of the rest is really good, but this could not save this machine kit. Sorry to say it, but stay away from it.
