So far this case is awesome! great craftsmanship. I've one had a few flights so far and no issues. I have never experienced the light entering the sides of the plastic case my Naza-m is manufactured with, but with this case I never should. I picked up 3 of these bad boys!

This is not a replacement for the plastic cover, it actually goes over it. If you just use this, it will be lmuch too loose, though you could likely make it work with some foam, or by cutting up the original case. The original case weighs very little compared to this, so it's not a big issue. It is a strong protective case, and for Naza Lite it will keep the sun from shining through and effecting flight performance (google it if you don't know what I am talking about). I would prefer a version that replaces the original case and is the same size. This one has a slightly larger footprint which you may want to take into account. If they made a straight replacement they could shave off some weight too.
