Easy to assemble, compact model. Easy to fly. I used a Bixler undercarriage, motor failed after 1 outing so fitted one from my spares bin. Excellent trainer or first plane. Watch out for shipping costs from China!

Fun little airplane

Expect to spend some time building the aircraft. look at the pictures carefully. I wouldn't really call it an Arf. Once complete it flies nicely. I used a 2836 750rpm/v motor, an 11-4.7 prop and 2 2200mah 2 cell batteries in series for power. Maiden flight was a bit of a handful probably due to warped tail feathers but once trimmed out it flies nicely. I covered mine with the "new stuff" for durability and I expect to get many flight hours out of this ac. I bought mine when they were half price so I picked up 2 of them. I am enjoying this aircraft and would buy it again.

low wing epp build

Received mine and thought the epp is excellent. Wings are thick ,strong and light. The build was a three night ordeal. It was built in stages and I let the glue to dry each stage over night. Even though it was a simple build I would not recommend to a first or second time builder. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. Once done it turned out to be an excellent plane especially for the price.

Given the low price it's pretty easy to gloss over the faults. That said, it's good to be aware of them:
- Build time is quite long - 4+ hours at least, but spread over a few days as you're waiting for glue to dry.
- Tailplane is slightly warped - I didn't bother fixing, but some people would.
- Motor is slightly under powered. Propeller (9x4.7) is pretty flimsy.
- The paint/dye they used really smells. Putting it in an enclosed space like a car is quite off putting!

First flight went horribly - I'd say the recommended CG is about 2cm too far back. So I put in a heavier battery - 2200mAH, and gave it some negative flaps on the ailerons (so they're about 4mm up from the trailing edge) and it flies nicely.
Overall a nice plane. Sturdy, good landing gear means you don't always nose over in grass. Flies well once setup properly. For the money a pretty decent plane.

Hallo Hobbyking,

ich bin eigentlich ein Fan von Hobbyking. Das Teil hier ist aber wirklich ein Witz. Bauzeit ca. 5 Abende mit ca. 3h! Man muss den Rumpf mit Massen von Kleber in mehreren Arbeitsschritten mit Wartezeit bis der Kleber trocken ist zusammenbauen. Das Leitwerk ist dazu maximal instabil.

Beim Bausatz bekommt man als einziges Teil einen Mini-Brushless Motor. Der Prop ist zu weich. Der Rest im Bausatz ist Holz- und Schaumstoffteile. Dazu natürlich 2 Tuben Kleber.

Man braucht: einen Regler, 4 Servo's und eine Empfänger. Eigentlich auch einen anderen Motor und Prop. Damit ist der Preis fast verdoppelt. Da kann man sich gleich was ordentliches kaufen.

In der Luft ist das einzige was das Teil macht - es fällt nicht runter. Wie eine Ente im großen Teich mit zu hohen Wellen.

Ich kann jedem nur davon abraten einen Dancing Poke zu kaufen. Ich habe mich auf jeden Fall ziemlich über den kauf geärgert.

3 CROWNS for Quality as the stator came loose in the motor and the motor had to be replaced. I fitted a Turnigy 2836/9 and fitted a APC 10x5 prop which is ideal for this model. It flies really nice but I have done a few modifications to it. A review in the Foamies Kits section on RCGroups under the Hobby King Dancing Wings Pitts Biplane thread. I will upload some pics to the files.

In summary, for the money, this is very good....however there are a couple of things to bear in mind before buying it, in my opinion.
Firstly, I think calling this ARF is pushing the boundaries a little too far. the photo's do indicate that but if you're expecting an hours work before hitting the field, that won't be the case.
Assembly is easy though, installing the servos, cutting and fitting the pushrods, building the ply frame was easy to follow in the manual. You have the ability to choose how to install the control horns.
I'm fairly new to RC planes and with a bit of patience iit s quite a nice build to undertake.

The only think that really was frustrating was the propeller collet/fitting didn't fit the motor shaft, so I had to buy a new one.

As for the flight...nice and slow and predictable, just what I wanted :-)

A great value, simple plane, let down only by some oversights in the components.

Had issues with a warped stabilizer and flimsy control horns and pushrods,but after a quick fix of the stab and replacing control horns etc mine went together quite easily,written directions were about useless but everything was pretty simple just using the pics.love this little plane now after getting it all together a little tweaking and getting the CG right.after a couple of flights on it to trim and check everything out I was really impressed all in all even with the minor issues.for the price it'd be hard to beat.theres definitely room for improvements in hardware, instructions, and motor selection but really for the price of the kit its an awesome plane.I've spent a lot more on comparable arfs that were nowhere near as durable, easy to assemble, or fun to fly.so I'd definitely recommend it to anyone with a little experience on the work table and in the air that want a fast building, fun and easy flying plane thats gonna survive some bumps and bruises.since finishing mine and getting some air time on it 3 of my buddies have ordered their own.on top of being fun and durable, it is easy and inexpensive to customize the appearance.after realizing this was a plane I'd be wanting to hold onto I sat down at the work table with a couple of sharpie markers to make the different colors edges tie together in places where the foam glued together and paint lines were a little off, spent about 10 minutes making a windshield from a soda bottle and used 1/4" foam board to trace the sup

I bought to of these. The size is great and the fact it came with a motor is great. I would of normally fitted a large motor and the plan would of suffered for it. This motor it come with is small but it is enough. This plane has a floater and glides very well. A great fun fly!
