Cannot fault this bird. I put a Zippy 2650mah 3s 40C series in the front of the nose and the CG was bang on. Also got led strips on the wings and fuselage and disk lights under the wings for night flying.
She'll take off in a less than 4m and go vertical if you're game (on the maiden I went too quick on the elevator and she went vertical and kept going until I rolled her level). And she will trundle along on a not-so-smooth grassy field and the landings are ..... sweeeet.
Excellent flight envelope too, she'll fly really lazy and slow with no sign of tip stall (might be due to slightly heavier than recommended battery in the nose), she handles wind, and has plenty power on the stock setup to climb out of sight.
This is a Dynam brand model. Highly recommended. I've got the Dynam A10 also and cannot fault the quality and price package. Get one!

Received model quickly and in good condition from Aus warehouse. Well constructed and is really a tough old bird. Find the large size really handles a bit of wind ok. I chose this plane because it looked like the wheels were large and strong and handle my rough grass field well. I had read elsewhere that the props are brittle and after snapping the tips off 3 just by clipping the tarmac ,I switched to a twin bladed 8x4 prop with a really soft compound (found on ebay) and problem was fixed. The dc 3 has plenty of power and surprises onlookers after flying scale at quarter throttle, apply full power and it go aerobatic and fly virtually vertical out of sight. I simply love flying this aircraft. My only criticism was the pre set angle of the motor mounts was pointing down too far which made maiden flight interesting. Added washers and longer screws and problem solved. Would love to have a steerable tailwheel and may modify mine at some point. Finally; The DC3 will fly on one engine.Had a mid air disaster doing full power aerobatics and one engine completely ripped off the mount and fell in the distance. Wasnt sure it was the engine but managed to bring her in and land ok. Recovered it undamaged, wires plugged straight in, a bit of stronger glue and was back in the air !

Awesome scale looking big bird. Got in quick time, flys beautifully nothing bad to write about it!! Recommended. I use a 2200 3 cell and fly for bout 5 mins. Flys awesome at half throttle ! Enjoy

Just finished building my DC3 and what a delight it was to build. All parts fit together very well and everthing is made of strong materials. This plane is huge and looks every bit as good as the real thing, surprisingly the stick on transfers were easy to apply and when I wasn't quite happy with my effort it was no problem to peel it off and re-stick it. I am now waiting for a calm day and a slot in my busy schedule to see what she looks like in the sky, she is so big it shouldn't be to hard to see her. I was going to give 5 stars but one of the motors sounds like it has a rattley bearing, it runs OK but I dont want any failures so I have ordered another two motors and will do a few taxi-ing runs until they arrive. A great loking plane

as l said got it in quick time, but but could not fly it because of bad weather. well l got my perfect day today for the maiden flite, l glued rear wheel straight no need to do anything ealse throtle up and of she flew no trims needed it went straight and up lots of power from those engines, keep it a bit under half throtle and it really is a delite to fly very smooth no bad vices the perfect scale plane thanks hobbyking for making the hobby affordable recomended just perchaced a dynam t28 trojen both planes are very well made thick foam both from hk well done

goot mine in supper quick time hk is getting better and better, had to give it 5 crowns just beutiful not epo its a better stronger z type foam same as multiplex. easy to put together very clean and nicley executed model very meaty in contruction very strong wing gose together well spare in middle for extra stength stickers are of high quality to. motors are good outrunners not the bell type 3 blade props with turned aloy spinner nuts very nice. cant fly her bad weather just enjoying the look of it at the moment buy this one guys one big nice strong dc3 well done hk just beutiful keep u posted when l fly her.
