XM300A

Nov 14, 2007

Basically a plug-n-play replacement for the Axi 2208/34. My thrust stand reading was about 12.5 amps for 21oz thrust using an APC 8060sf, which is slightly more power and draw than my Axi, but very very close (it shows 12 amps, 20 oz).

So I pulled the 2204/34 from my Formosa and put the XM300A in its place. No issues except some fit problems with the rear "wheel collar" thrust washer/lock combo thingie. Flight times were virtually identical to the Axi and performance was at least as good. Flew 16 minutes of fairly hard routine on one 1200 MAH battery.

For any application where you're considering a 2208/34, this should be a terrific alternative. Great deal!

XM300A

I ran some tests using the Hobbywing 12 amp Pentium and a 3S 1650 mah lipo. The first prop was an APC 8x6 slow fly, 7600 rpm, 19.5 ounces thrust, 10.5 amps and 11.3 volts. Next was a GWS 9050, 7900 rpm, 20 ounces thrust, 10.1 amps, 10.6 volts. APCE 8x6, 7600 rpm, 17 ounces thrust, 9.3 amps, 10.3 volts. The battery was not recharged between tests.

This is a nice little motor. It looks like a replacement for an AXI 2208/34. The Axi have a kv of 1100 and this one 1000. They weigh almost the same. It runs smooth and comes with all the goodies included, even a prop saver. What a deal for $16. I got two and am thinking they will be perfect for the GWS38.
