Great plane

This Tundra is a great trainer. Very stable and lots of fun to fly. Only drawback is the fixture of the battery tray. It came loose after the second flight. It was only lightly glued at one side. Because I did not do any loops and rolls no harm was done.

Tundra is Easy to handle for beginners, however the landing gear easily deforms with landings on higher grass.

This is a fantastic airplane. I already have one and bought a second one. This plane flys like a trainer and is easy to fly. Recommend as a first time plane.

Great starter, fun for all!

I bought one of these for my dad. It's a solid slower flying plane that a newer pilot would be comfortable with. The performance envelope is pretty wide, especially with the flaps and big power. A more experienced pilot will find plenty to keep this one interesting to fly...even comes with floats in the box!

Excellent value, great flyer

I have owned a few Tundras, V1 & V2, they are one of HK's best. They fly very well with their light wing loading and generally of reasonable quality.
One thing that does let them down is the sponge wheels on the plastic rims have a habit of coming off and perhaps the foam is not as good as some manufacturers so hence the 4 stars. However given their fairly cheap price they are great value for money if you can keep the shipping price reasonable.
They were HK plane of the year 2016 for good reason

Great plane overall, but ESC failed. Beware of poor waranty

I really enjoy the Tundra overall. The plane is well built - control surfaces, hinges, fasteners, etc. However, 4 or 5 flights in, and the ESC failed during a flight and I crashed the plane. The damage to the plane was not bad. However, I tried to file a warranty claim for the ESC, and HK wouldn't accept because it was involved in a crash. What a frickin catch 22. I should have lied and not told them about the crash, and then they would have replaced it.
In addition, the warranty person said that I should have bench tested to find the failure. That answer makes no sense. The warranty guy also said they do not warranty items after use. ???? Again, that makes no sense. a 1 yr warranty is pointless. Apparently the warranty is only good to make sure the item arrives at your doorstep. Afterwards, you're on your own.....
