The eSUN Marble PLA 3D print filament is a mixture of pure PLA and marble elements which produce an attractive natural looking marble effect. This striking filament has a stunning similarity to real marble. It includes the small black grains that characterize this mineral and is just perfect for sculptures (design and print your very own classic sculpture), architectural modelling and other artistic, elegant projects. Other properties are very accurate dimensional tolerances for consistent feed, ultrafine particles which will stop blockages and clogging and a low melting point, all this makes for trouble free 3D printing.
Due to the lower melting point PLA prints easier than other materials, one of the most important features is that PLA is it is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate, a stable melting point and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. PLA is considered stronger than ABS but is more susceptible to cracking when flexing so the mechanical needs of the print project has to be evaluated.
PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bed and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl free print.
