My third one... It's cheap, but good quality. As usual, I changed the hinges from the very stiff foam ones to durable low friction nylon hinges (008-00201x10). Will try to beat my AXN speed record of 178kph (in almost no wind). Made a 3D-printed motor mount (thingiverse thing 4913583) to give the motor a little better cooling and allow bigger props (up to 9in). At these speeds you have to reenforce the wings, else they start flapping like crazy. I use carbon strips 6x1x1000mm glued to top and bottom of the wing; no more flapping! One good thing with this model is that it's very gentle if you don't push it and run original motor with 2200mAh 3S, but it's a real hoot with NTM2836-2200, 2200mAh 65C 4S and 7x5 prop. So, great for beginners, but also fun when you have been flying a while. Strongly recommend.

Passt in einen Koffer auf Flugreisen

Gut:
Ich habe das Kit vor ca. 5 Jahren gekauft weil es in einen 159 cm Umfang großen Reisekoffer für Flugreisen passt.
Ich verwende 2200 mAh Zippy 25 C 3S Akku, YEP 30 A Regler und 5x5 Propeller. Damit sind ca. 20 min Motorflug plus 20 min Gleitflug die Regel. Da ich zusätzlich noch einen Gyro eingebaut habe ist er auch bei Windböen recht stabil am Strand zu fliegen trotz der kleinen Größe. Bei Vollgas kommt er gut gegen mittleren Wind an und kann bei leichtem Wind auch schneller fliegen - ein Anfänger mit etwas Erfahrung kann da seine Grenzen ausloten.
Zur besseren Sicht habe ich mehrere LED Blinklichter als Positionslampen eingeklebt und auch die weißen sehr robusten 19 g schweren HK Digital Metallgetriebe Servos verwendet. Den Regler habe ich direkt vorne am Lufteinlass positioniert und den Akku ebenfalls ganz nach vorne geschoben. Dann stimmt der Schwerpunkt. Obwohl ich "schwere" und zusätzliche nicht notwendige Komponenten (plus Run Cam 2) verwendet habe, segelt das Modell auch bei geringfügig stärkerer leichter Thermik gerade noch so. Dann ist es langsam und im Lehrer/Schüler Betrieb für einen Anfänger in seinen ersten Flugversuchen steuerbar. Durchaus im Lernbetrieb geeignet mit Potential zum reinen Motorflugmodell.
Die RunCam habe ich auf einen kleinen Schaum-Block der mit einem Gummiring am Rumpf wahlweise befestigt wird mit Klettband fixiert. So sind einige schöne Urlaubs-Aufnahmen entstanden.
Schlecht:
Alleine hat ein Anfänger wohl kaum einen Erfolg zu erwarten!
Der Start ist Muster-Typisch und benötigt etwas Erfahrung, da diese Art von Modell sehr stark Abtaucht wenn man mit zu viel Gas startet. Halbgas reicht vollkommen bei einem halbwegs kräftigen Schubs im 15 ° Winkel nach oben. Dann erfolgt ein Abtauchen, bzw man muss mit dem Höhenruder kräftig ausgleichen. Die Ruderhörner sind sehr leicht abzubrechen, gerade beim Transport, darum gleich eine paar stabilere einpacken oder verbauen, damit der Ausflug nicht zur Enttäuschung wird (Sekundenkleber geht auch). Da ich die Flügel und das Leitwerk im Koffer abnehme habe ich es nicht fest verklebt - ein gutes Klebeband reicht, wobei der Schwalbenschwanz der Flügelverbindung direkt ausleiert, also nichts hält; etwas doppelseitiges Klebeband hilft da. Die Magnete lösen sich auch von der Haube, früher oder später sicher. Dann fliegt die Haube durch den Propeller und wird zerlegt. Da es keine Ersatzteile gibt und ich nicht mehr alle Teile gefunden habe, habe ich sie halt mit Klebeband zusammengeklebt. Jetzt habe ich einfach einen Gummiring als Halterung über Rumpf und Haube gespannt. Ärgert mich jedes mal wenn ich es sehe, sieht halt einfach nicht mehr gut aus, grrr.
Neutral:
Das Modell ist im Gyro-Betrieb sehr stabil unterwegs und darum auch für Videoaufnahmen geeignet, wobei es halt veraltet ist und der Markt heute da speziell geeignetere Modelle anbietet. Es ist kein Kunstflieger und um eine Rolle zu erzwingen - ja, anders geht es nicht, benötigt man schon große Ausschläge. Da ich sowieso bei 40 ° Hitze am Strand (darum auch der 30 A Regler!) eh nur entspannt etwas mit den Seevögel rumfliegen möchte benötige ich gar keine so großen Ausschläge und "filme" lieber die Flora und Fauna. Da ich auch gar nicht so viel steuere und an den Dünen und Steilhängen etwas Aufwind oder gar Thermik mitnehme sind die Flüge meistens durch meine Konzentration begrenzt und ich habe noch nie mehr als drei Akkus für einen ganzen Tag am Strand "verflogen".

Cet AXN Floater-Jet est absolument génial. Il peut voler assez lentement, il est très stable et plane plutôt bien.
Pour son prix, il vaut vraiment le coup. D'autant plus qu'il est relativement solide et facile à réparer.
Attention cependant à vérifier les câbles fournis avec. J'ai eu un faux contact dans le câble Y qui m'a valu un beau crash d'une vingtaine de mètres en plein sur le nez !
Malgré cela, il est presque comme neuf après un petit coup au décapeur thermique pour remodeler l'EPO.
Je recommande !!!

A great price for a beginner plane like this. In the past, I paid twice as much more for a name brand that flies the same and that kit did not include a motor like this one. All the parts fit nicely. Haven't flown it but I'm confident I won't have edit this review. All good.

Bought this for my go pro, and the best thing i ever did. The power of the stock motor is amazing. The climb rate is awesome. Only problem i had was the motor came off, but re glued it on and now its perfect.

Love this aircraft very fast good practice plane for edf pilots this thing can take beating came down on a nose dive battery move forward messing the CG was able to save it front a nose crash still broke in 2 places a lill ca stickers like it never happened ..thinking of getting another to run 4s

Great fun plane, using stock motor and prop with 2650 3 cell lipo I am able to take off
from ground, added teflon on wings and fuse. Its 2.5 to 3 times faster than bixler3.
approx; 65-70 mph and 15 flight time.

BEGINNER BUYERS BEWARE: Don't make the mistake I made thinking that this, or any similar plane is a "beginner" rc plane, after reading many overly positive, mostly misleading descriptions on this site. If you have not flown an rc plane before, you CANNOT fly an rc plane, and you WILL crash. Don't dive straight into the hobby, start off with a much cheaper plane of some kind that you aren't worried about crashing, or if your lucky to have a nearby hobby shop with a flight simulator, use it. You will be worried about crashing this plane, it is capable of a lot more than crashing. A bit more to the product... What reduced my value and quality rating, is that rather annoyingly this does not come with any glue to put it together with. Very few to no glues an average person would know about and could find in the local supermarket, can stick this material together. Otherwise, this is a good product, respectably strong, easy to assemble and good looking.
