Well, The stock setup on this truck is horrid, Far far too soft, So I thought I would try something.
My plan it to double up on the spring's, so 2 springs per shock,(like 1/5's have) One black on bottom, Then one harder red on top (or even 2 black), This way it will still have soft responsive spring rate for normal 0-30ishpcnt suspension travel, But have much harder 30-100pcnt travel for jumping.(get's harder when close to bottoming out)....NO point trying thicker shock oil to try prevent bottoming out as this will just result in bent shock shaft's.
As im sure everyone with this truck has figured, With stock spring's you need to have the preload maxxed out otherwise truck will sag, Double spring with 0 preload should work out great for bashing/jumping/crawling, Obviously not ideal for pro racing or anything like that. But that's not what I use the truck for.
Many may not agree, Though on other trucks I have tried this on, Worked out really well for the way I use the truck, Just an idea that other's in my situation may want to try, If you don't like it, Easy to go back to standard.

good quality, more hard then the stock, perfect for big bore shock. 82mm lenght, 22mm inside diameter. thanks hobbyking.
