    This plane is a beautiful rendition of the North American B-25J Mitchell “Lady Lil”. It comes in a micro size (550mm wingspan) which is ideal for flying in the park or even indoors. Onboard stabilization helps provide a smooth and scale flight performance. The plane is plug and fly and it comes complete with a DSM2 compatible receiver.

     

    The B-25 was an American twin-engine medium bomber made during World War II by North American Aviation and named after General Billy Mitchell, a pioneer of U.S. military aviation. By the end of production, nearly 10,000 B-25s were produced in various models and they saw service in all theaters during WWII as well as with many other Air Forces both during the war and after.

     

    This B-25J was flown by Lt Albert Beiga, 345th Bomb Group ‘Air Apaches’, 498th Bomb Squadron ‘Falcons’, USAAF. The 498th deployed to the Southwest Pacific Theater in June 1943 and the Squadron was engaged in combat over New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago, Northern Solomon Islands, the Southern Philippines and Leyte. These B-25s were used for low-level strafing attacks and were modified with extra .50 caliber machine guns installed in the noses of the aircraft. ‘Lady Lil’ was assigned to the 498th on the Philippines Islands in 1944.

    Good value, flys well , quality is very good apart from the nose, battery cover very flimsy and fragile, not expensive to replace, when they have them.

    Receiver is not very compatible with new radio sold in eu I believe no radio sytems with dsm2 capability are sold in eu since 2015
    So you need an older radio that is capable of dsm2 transmitting this is why so many people have bind issues

    Nice and slow, like a bomber should be. No instructions, but if it’s not your first rodeo it should be easy. Bind process is a bit slow but past that the plane is a good performer. You have to pin the nosewheel steering arm in place, this was originally set up for a control wire coming from a rudder servo that was deleted for differential thrust on the motors instead.

    It was a toss up between buying another one of these or the Bonanza. I was a bit unsure about how well the Bonanza flies and due to the new regs on flying over 250g planes opted for the Micro Mitchell. Nice looking plane.

    Relax evening flight

    Wires are a little bit short for wind assembly and there is not manual for begginer but no problem for assemblybuilding. You have to glue the front wheel arm(no servo for nose wheel) , rudder effect is made from differencial thrust. Batteries and charger are supplied and cheap.
    Easy take off (10meters), not over powered but perfect for scale and calm evening flight for warbird lovers. It can make loops and rolls but as hard as a real b25... Gyro is efficient, you can fly stress less with a bit wind for such a light plane. It can fly very slow at stall speed but will fall in a tip stall if too much elevator or not enough power to roll. Landing is very easy and accurate for small runways.
