Moins d'une dizaine de vols très réussis avec mon Skipper. Centrage conforme à la notice avec une lipo 3s 1800mAh reculée contre l'Esc. Debattements a 50% pour les ailerons et 60% pour la profondeur. 7 minutes d'autonomie en gérant les gaz. Lancer main plein gaz horizontal sans problème. Décollage glissé depuis une herbe courte. Il reste a l'essayer sur un plan d'eau au printemps prochain !
Un bon rapport qualité - prix !
Un beau modèle avec un vol agréable pour se détendre les pouces !

Aeromodello molto divertente. Avrei preferito un motore più prestante, con questo si è un po' al limite. Vola stabile , adatto a persone che dopo aver imparato a volare vogliono qualcosa di piu senza esagerare.

Good first seaplane

The Skipper is a descent airplane, and a great seaplane to learn water landings and takeoffs with. I have only ever flown mine off of lakes and ponds. Unlike many other seaplane models, you would really have to work to get this one to capsize on you (assuming it's not super windy). Most of the time, the low CG and wingtip floats assure a gentle landing, and I have never had a problem with wing floats catching and causing "waterloops," as with other seaplanes.
Perfectly controllable on water with proper technique, even if the takeoff run is a fairly long. Equally stable in the air, assuming proper coordination and sufficient speed. I manage 15 minutes with power to spare on a 2200mah 3s pack, mounted pretty far back in the nose.
My main gripes are electrical components failing as well as unsettling manners in the air, such as persistent dutch roll and loss of thrust at high angles of attack (possibly due to the delta wing blocking airflow), which limit the potential of this plane.

I bought this for low intensity, flexible location flying for when I'm not sweating flying my high performance craft and this little bugger is a GAS !! Wet ball fields, boat basins, snowy lots all become flying sites as long as the wind is under 20 mph !!! EASY to assemble - just be careful to not push the poly wing reinforcement rods too hard into the wings during assembly (I pushed the main spar 1/4" out of the bottom at the end of the pocket ) - I glued the whole air frame together for strength and punched 2 air ducts {1 in the canopy, 1 behind in the hull} to vent the battery and ESC and is FUN !!!!!

Very disappointed

I was excited to launch this from the lake in my backyard. After running full speed across the lake, it would not lift off. It finally got off the water and immediately rolled left. It was very unstable and went right into the water. Both ailerons ripped off and I lost the canopy. Major disappointment.

really all terain, flight properties ok

The Skipper really is a all terain plane. I was able to take off from gras, snow and water with ease.
The flight properties are ok, slow speed for landing is possible, the thrust to weight ratio could be higher with a 1600 mAh battery.
