I got two pairs of these for the engine compartment doors on my 1/6th scale R/C Hughes 500e helicopter. They are strong with no sideways slop, so there is no chance of door misalignment over time due to the hanging weight of the doors. The threaded pin allows for complete removal of a hatch or door or for the friction to be adjusted if required. The moulded eyes provide for different tensioning of a hatch closing spring. They are made from nylon-like plastic and are not at all brittle. You'd be hard pressed to deliberately break one of these with your fingers.
