Works well enough but colours are wrong.

Mine works well and I'm happy with it for the sale price I paid. But the colours are not good, definitely a purple tinge to all greens, which means most things filmed from a model plane! Have searched for a small IR-cut filter (as recommended by LJJ below) but can't find one. Anyone got any ideas ?

Fair price $15 but bad video quality

Bought two at the sale price and both have the purple fringe. Three stars because I can use the cameras for other projects that does not require true colors and white balance.

Bought two because they were on sale $14.99. They are good for getting basic footage mounted on quadcopters or planes but if you need hi-rez, high quality video, this camera will disappoint. The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because I can still get practical use from it as a secondary camera for different angles on videos. The purple fringe is there but not always. It comes and goes but enough to be annoying.

Wrong colours because of lack of IR-cut filter

Handy little camera. But, the camera I received showed wrong colours. All leaves and grasses, all chlorofyl, is shown as purple! Almost unusefull this way. However I discovered what the problem is. The problem is that my camera does not have a UV-IR-cut filter. The IR disturbes the sensor and makes greens shown as purple. I held a IR-cut filter in front of the camera lens and with that filter the colours are acceptable again. So, you can repair your camera by buying a small IR-cut filter and mount that before the lens. I wil try to post a small demonstratien video here.

Great little camera, this is the second one, misplaced the original which had a hard life, lost in a crash then found weeks later, still working with video of the crash, only niggle is the time and date, not sure how to correct but apart from that no problem

Same problem as Paul and the replacement had been no better, DO NOT BYE THIS ITEM. and did not get a full refund
I bought a HD Wing Camera 1280x720p 30fps 5MP CMOS from this site on the recommendation of a friend on 16/08/16 and it was faulty - mainly faulty colour's. I checked out reviews and looked like it was a common problem at the time of purchase
