On my test stand I get 800W, 1100g thrust, and 52A. How is this possible??
Motor was running a bit hot (no wonder!).

I'm building a jet by using HK2839 70mm EDF Outrunner 2800kv for this, the sound is very large and steady power,, I am very happy with the speed of a jet plane I,, this is a good material

I'm not getting anywhere even close to 1200g thrust. With a 6-blade 70mm unit I'm getting 550g at 32A and 4S. Sucks!

I bought this motor for my Stryker C as I wanted it faster. Powered by a Turnigy AE-65 and a 4S 2650mAh 25C battery turning an APC 8x5 prop. The Stryker is mostly carbon fiber rod and it hauls azz! I have about 15 flights on it thus far. My buddy clocked it at 124.1mph!! You can hear it scream from 4 blocks away. How I know this? A cop followed the noise. lol No ticket; He thought it was cool. I only allow myself of 3 minute flying times as the motor comes down pretty warm. And the pucker factor adds to the limited flight times too.

These are limited to 4S at 610W at 40Ap on the matching 70mm EDF. The box comes marked 2800kva buts it's more like 3200 in my tests. The lead wires - magnet wire - run hot (not Silicon) and the motor runs v/hot because there are only two 'micro' holes at the rear of the motor? - no airflow (on you can see in the picture). Its a shame because IF the rear bell was ventilated properly (with a fan like the 2215 series) it could be pushed to 5S. :(
