I would recommend getting one set of the "metal and carbon" support rods, and then using these cheaper versions for spares. Why? Because the plastic tips with this version will break regularly, so you need the metal tips. The CF rod however, doesn't really give any real advantage over these cheaper versions. So use the good tips, with the cheap rods, and then just swap the rods out when you crash.

These work and no assembly required. If you break one of these then you have hit pretty darn hard because these are stout.
